Hi Folks,

I finished these a little while ago and thought you might to have a look.
They are the first Finecast mini's that I have painted and generally I think they were ok.
A little bit of hole filling was required but that new liquid greenstuff goop works wonders.

Anyway, hope you like what you see.

First the Champion

And now the Chaplain

Sorry about the blurry photo's, my camera doesn't seem to like the black against the light background.

Anyway, hope you like them, comments are much appreciated.

Really like how you did your blue, being a short time Smurf player, I can appreciate how hard it is to make the blue look good. I really like the chaplain.

How are the chains holding the model up. Are they glued to the shape?

They look like metal cast. they're probably actual model bits, or maybe even resin. I can see this kid complaining about his chappy, suffice to say, he won't be a happy chappy! haha, I'm soo funny.

Its nice. Clean, simple, fun to look at and not overdone. I like 'em.

The chains are actually some scraps of base metal jewelry chain that I picked up from a jeweler for free.

The method was a bit tricky, and I don't recommend it for people that like having fingerprints,
Basically I put a drop of superglue on a ceramic tile and then dragged the chain through it quickly. (leaving the bit you are holding above the glue)
This coats the chain with a layer of glue that quickly dries making the chain stiff.
The superglue has a little flex in it till it is fully cured so you can bend it into shape for a short while. If it does 'snap' you can just glue it again.

But yeah its fiddly and you are likely to stick your fingers together and swear quite a bit.
Oh and he is still very delicate and wobbly, so not very practical.

The poses are brilliant,
But i do have to say that the paintjob could use a little thinning,
and a bt more highlighting , to really pop

NO! ... no Gits!

Love the freehand Chapter Symbol, even if I as a Black Templars player instinctively snarl at the Emperor's Champion in another Chapter's colours.

For thirteen years I had a dog with fur the darkest black. For thirteen years he was my friend, oh how I want him back.
