looks good, though personally i prefer tesla immortals over warriors w/ arks for my troop, but if they work for you this list is fine.

You might want to consider dropping one pistol from each wraith squad for another wound allocation group and with the points throw a gaze of flame on one of the destructeks for the increased assault survivability though.

Everybody and their Mother would rather play with Immortals than warriors!
Well, I'm trying to build on what I already have. I don't have any Immortals.

Making 3 wound allocation groups on the Wraiths is a good idea. Most of the people running Wraith Wing have 3 whipcoils and 2 pistols and 1 bare. I don't think that I'd miss the one pistol, but I would miss a 4th whipcoil in the group (I'll be honest, I'm not good with positioning yet!)

I really like how Destroyer Lords can't take a Royal Court. Oh wait, no i don't.

This list looks solid, and quite similar to another list I have. I like Wraiths, and putting Destroyer Lords with Wraiths.

I'm not too sure about Particle Casters, though. I don't think they give an extra attack, and a Whip Coil reduces anything in base contact to Init 1. Every time I see Wraiths in a list they always have at least 1 Particle Caster, and I'm not entirely sure why. As Jump Infantry, they can Deep Strike in, move 12", then Assault (provided they don't scatter into Narnia), and every model with Whip Coils gets to attack first. I'd rather have that than a 12" S6 AP5 shot.

As the local Ghost Ark dispiser, you can imagine what I don't like :-)

That aside. Pistols on your Wraiths is kinda "meh", They're better of being Nakers. You can drop the pistols and take a Nightmare Shroud on your Despair Cryptek (for fearing a unit off an objective, potentially).

MSS and SW on the Barge Lord is a bit of a waste, once he's knocked off his barge, he gonna die. That's basically 30 points worth of improved death. As I math hammered in the Tactics Thread, an MC with LD 10 is going to pass that test 50% of the time, and you're standing there without an invul save. Sure it's cool to kill two vehicles in a turn (drive over one, assault another) but you're only 35 points away from Anrakyr that can kill 3 in a turn without leaving the barge (drive over, Tachyon Arrow, Mind-in-the-machine)

You don't need to have every wraith with a whipcoil. While I may only have 3 wraiths with whipcoils, I can slow down at least 5 or 6 of my opponents models (4 should reliably slow down 8 models even with my history of poor positioning). Having 5 or 6 whipcoils in a unit gives you diminishing returns.
Whether Particle Casters give an extra attack (they do in my group at least) is beside the point. The real reason the Particle Caster is included is to make the wraiths 3 wound allocation groups, so that you can lose 5 wounds before you lose a base.

Thanks for the comments. This is the target list for a Paint and Play Escalation league that is beginning at the end of the month. I'll be posting painting progress as well as battle reports on my P&M blog (link below).

As far as spyders, they seem to mess me up. They are MC, and should be very aggressive, but they are slow and don't seem to add a lot to the combat. If I keep them back as a counter assault unit (to protect the warrior blob), then they aren't spawning scarabs anyway! My escalation list didn't really fall into place until I left them out.
I do think that I would add them at 2000 points, though. Keep them and the scarabs back as a second wave and counter assault. I would also give 2 of the 3 the fabricator claw to help out the barges. In order to do that though, I'd need to have another aggressive unit in the first-wave of assault, and I'm not sure what that unit would be (all my FA and HS options are full).

I like both of your lists, except the 5 Warriors with Despairtek. If you want a Grot squad for objective grabbing, just keep the 5 warriors plain and in reserve, and walk them on to a rear objective later in the game.

Other than that, they both look VERY solid!

It may not sound like it, but your input bears a lot of weight for me ,Sasori.
The warriors and despairtek are a 135 point unit that can win me an objective based game... and since 2/3rd of the games are based off objectives I think that it is well worth the points.

It'll be a long time until I get up to this list (probably next August or September.) I'm really excited about this list!

I'm having trouble rationalizing the Weave on the destroyer lord given that it will be benefiting from the wraith's shielding for the most part vs shooting, and it's ability to shrug off most attacks in close combat that don't already have the ability to go through any sort of armor.

Maybe you are familiar with a situation that I am not though!

The after thought of scarabs is something I don't know anything about! Tell us how the splash works out!

I worry about lists that rely very heavily on cc heavy tank hunting, but it seems like you've got a decent amount of it on the field. So a land raider diced by an destroyer lord and wraiths may just have it's contents assaulted the same turn anyway.

If he throws every volley of small arms fire at the D-Lord first, the Weave will likely pay for itself.

Lucre, I'll let you know how things turn out. I'm still building up to this list. Who knows? Maybe my local meta will change drastically in the next year to 18 months (probably will if 6th comes out in July).

Think of the wraiths and scarabs this way... if the wraiths are coming in on a flank, the scarabs are holding the front of his army in place. The goal, is to wreck as much as possible, and if he's able to move most of his army towards mine, then the wraiths won't have a nice, rich field of targets to eat. You don't want the wraiths and scarabs in the same assault, however. The scarabs' fearless wounds might wipe out the wraiths too!

The destroyer lord will most likely break off of the wraiths during an assault and movement through terrain (so that they don't get slowed by him). A bad roll there might leave the Destroyer Lord out in the open. There might be other times when it would be good to split him off of the wraiths.

As far as having mostly CC tank-hunting, we have to take what our codex gives us. I do have the Destructeks in the arks, and the Annihilation Barges will do a decent job of opening up transports.

I do really like how scarabs scare opponents into really worrying about a couple str 8 shots. Such a cool mechanic.
