First off mods, sorry if the title format is not correct.

The Facts;

On 12/15/2011 Brother SRM contacted me, indicating that he was looking for some Land Raider parts, the LR's mounts and the fairings that go over the LR's. I indicated that I had some still on sprue. After several emails we concluded that we would trade the LR bits for 2 complete ML's.
On 12/27/2011 I mailed out a padded envelope with a tracking number USPS 0311 2550 0002 7201 7970 and sent a PM with the shipping info.
On 12/30/2011 I pm'd Brother SRM to ask if the bits had been mailed out.
On 12/31/2011 I got a PM back that said they were mailed that day, but the envelope has a time stamp print on it of 04 january 2012 pm 2D1
On 1/9/2012 the bits arrived in the condition pictured in the link below;

The pictures show the condition of the bits, the packing used, and the state of the envelope it was sent in.

I have sent Brother SRM a PM indicating the condition of things and asking him what he would like to do. I have yet to hear from him. At this point I am offering neither positive nor negative feedback, simply indicating the sequence of events.

1. It took a few days to mail it out because it was a holiday. I put it in my mailbox on the 31st and it didn't get picked up til later. The 31st, 1st, and possibly 2nd were probably days off for the USPS, and the 3rd was a Sunday.

2. I have sent and received bits via envelope on multiple occasions with no problems whatsoever. I apologize that they were damaged in transit, they look pretty beaten up from those photos. I can't be held accountable for any damage they received in transit however.

3. You had yet to hear from me because you sent the PM about an hour before making this callout thread. I'd really appreciate if you tried to work things out with me personally before drawing the community's attention to something completely unnecessary. Next time you do something like this, please be a little more patient. I'm on here often, but not every hour of every day.

I'd really appreciate if this thread got locked because I do not see what purpose it can serve when we can just work this out via private messages like sensible people instead of drawing unnecessary community scrutiny to an envelope with about $2 of plastic in it.

Brother SRM contacted me by PM, below is my response;

"Let's not get pissy here, it is not a "call out thread" it is a information thread, a situation thread, NOTHING that I posted was an opinion on how I felt about the situation, it is purely informative, as of now no one has posted anything, so how is there any drama being created? My post did not indicate that I dont know what I am going to do, my post indicated that I am awaiting resolution before deciding the type of feedback I will provide. Please do not get emotional about this, nothing has been done by me to slander your name. If we can work this out I will be more than happy to indicate that on the thread and to anyone who asks me directly. As I said I am an honest person and that is all I ask in return. as far as what I want...well, the bits I asked for.

But to address his statements directly;

1. shipping date, point taken, my apologies for not being sensible about shipping dates.

2. This is an integrity issue. when we agreed on the trade it is implied that you will take the needed precautions to ensure that I receive the bits that you had indicated, just as I did for with the padded envelop and tracking number.

3. Again I am sorry, patience has never been a strong point of mine, but there is nothing that I have done to slnder your name, and up until this point I have not given my opinion on anything you did, I simply posted a sequence of events. people are entitled to know the history of people they are going to trade with.

2$ piece of plastic, $200 piece of plastic, the issue here is about not receiving what I was told I would receive.

I sent you stuff, it got banged up, and for that I'm sorry. I thought it was packed well enough but I guess I was wrong. What reasonable thing can I do to make this right? I need these bits, and don't have more rocket launchers. Is there something else I can send you? I'm not buying more missile launchers from the bitz sites because the prices are ridiculous. I'll send you some other bits to compensate if need be, or if you want me to repair those bits and send them back to you I'll do it.

I just want this whole thing to get resolved.

Well, you can take a look at my trade thread and see if there is any other stuff that you have that I may want. Or you can simply return my bits with a self addresses stamped envelope and I will be happy to drop the package off at the post office for you.

Given that this is a very recent issue and has not been attempted to be resolved via PM first, I'm going to lock this thread.

In the future, please only post a Transaction Report as a last resort, after attempting to work out the transaction issues via PM.

If a Transaction Report is truly needed after a good faith effort at resolution via PM over an appropriate period of time, one could be posted then. For now, I am not going to retitle this as a "Transaction Report" because it really is premature. Please try to resolve this privately first. Both parties seem like they are able to communicate frequently and willing/able to work out a resolution.
