I currently have 1745, I'm deciding between another squad of firewarriors, Kroot, and an extra HQ Battlesuit. Thoughts?

I would suggest shield drones on your bodyguards and fireknife units, despite the fact that you will almost always be in cover. Not sure how your meta looks, but getting insta-gibbed by GK autocannons, and SW missiles hurts. Just one or two shield drones can help considerably.

Especially concerning as you have little vehicle saturation, most anti-tank (which in today's armies is usually a considerable amount) will be directed towards your suits.

Dispersion pods (essential) also deter LR AT weaponry from engaging your vehicles. That in combination with the fact that your suits are the most dangerous thing on the board, will have your suits targeted mercilessly.

Yeah - it needs a few more railguns.

I'd make it 2 squads of 6 pathfinders and use the freed up points to add in a couple more broadsides or another hammerhead.

Yes, split your two Elite trios into pairs. It allows surviving suits to rally from Falling Back without BKs. You can demote a 'vre, saving a few points and shove him into one of the newly made pairs. Then promote the other bodyguard to 'El.

While I agree with the 'vre and 'El being overcosted, I like to have 3 suits that I can place in DoW. As for my meta? It's mostly Marines.

If your going to keep 3 suits you will need a BK on your leader...

now if this was my list I would get rid of all the pathfinders with there devilfish and put more suits in.. Firestorms or deathrains.... fireknives if you can afford it with a marine meta.....

I am a firm believer that more bullets help tha Tau out over better hitting or reducing a cover save.... Marerlights out more guns in.

I personally like having Railheads - the submunitions are great for troops
