On a lark, I decided to pick up a Finecast Deceiver today. Brought him home to discover an air bubble had left him with a rather unattractive hairlip. First noticeably flawed Finecast model I've bought, but with GW sending a replacement free of charge, I'm looking at it as a positive. Using my mutant model, I kitbashed a quick Slaanesh Daemon Prince:

Nothing major...just added a Daemonette's claw, the sword from a Storm of Magic Sorcerer, and wings from a DE Scourge (an awesome kit if you're looking for wings, btw)...couldn't find anything suitable for a head though. The Daemon Prince and Chaos Spawn heads are either too big or too grotesque, and I don't have many other options. Any ideas? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks for looking!

Not sure about scalewise but the Steed of Slanesh snake head from the WHFB chaos lord might make a good fit. I used to have the model but lost it into a bitz box some years ago. It'd take some GS to extend the fin down his back some way but it'd give him a very slaneeshy snakey vibe.

I made a similar model myself.

The head is the end of the Daemonette's horn with pigtails made from the top knots of HE White Lions and their Lion's goatees.

That's great Grimtuff..! I love the pigtails.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. In the end, I decided to go with something a little more "human"...so I picked up a Reaper elf-something-or-other and decapitated him in the name of Slaanesh:

I wanted a "handsome" face to match the body, so I'm pretty happy with this. Not very sure about the horns though. Also added armor to his shoulders and adjusted the angle of the claw. Any thoughts?

Sidenote: while looking around for similarly converted models, I came across (Golden Daemon winner) Mike Anderson's Azazel. Pretty great stuff, although I'm pretty sure that head is sculpted. If you scroll up, there's also an awesome Nightbringer-Nagash.

I think it'd look more Slaaneshy without the shoulder pads.

I also recommend more things that say he is slaneesh. Maybe carve the symbol of slaneesh on one of his breasts.
And maybe add leather and fur to him.

I think I'll probably keep the shoulder pads. I wanted the Prince to have a regal look about him, as if he were royalty of some kind before his ascension to Daemonhood. So rather than Slaanesh=nudity, I'm going for Slaanesh=excess. Besides, he's already mostly nude anyway! Also, I think the pads help keep him distinct from a plain old Deceiver, which is pretty important to me.

I really like the idea of adding a symbol of Slaanesh. I don't think I can carve with that much precision, but I think I'll try to "tattoo" one on his chest with a micron pen after painting. Hopefully a lot more of the Slaaneshiness will come out during painting (white/lavender skin, purple wings) as I am pretty satisfied with the modeling for now.

Thanks again for the comments!
