I am new to WHFB, looking to expand my forces to 2500 so I can participate in games at my local stores.

Does the below seem like it could work?

Chaos lord on juggernaut with mark of khorne/shield

Exalted hero on juggernaut with mark or khorne x2

Chaos Warriors with full command, shield and hand weapon,mark of khorne x20

Chaos Warriors with full command, shield and hand weapon,mark of khorne x20

Chaos mauraders with light armor/shield, mark of khorne, full command x50

Chaos knights with standard, champion, mark of khorne, lances x5

Level 2 sorcerer on steed with infernal puppet, mark of tzenitch.

Thoughts? Just a shot in the dark, with the stuff I like after about a month of getting some games in.

I'm no WHFB veteran however on these few months I've been lurking the forums and playing some games with WoC, I've found that you need two basic types of units: Anvils and Hammers. Looking at your list I don't see any unit that could withstand a heavy shooting/assault unit.

So... I would change one of your warriors squad to MoT, that gives them a lot more survivality combined with the Rapturous Standard, also the popular marauder config is either of these two: shields & MoT or GW & MoK up to you.

Don't think the lances on the knights are worth it str5 is already pretty good and you can spend the points on more wargear. If you want to run a unit of warriors with MoK go with extra hand weapons or halberds.

On the heroes side, if you are marking your sorc as tzeentch better give him a disk so that he can fly around at will casting his necromagic. On the exalted hero you'll need it to be a battle standard bearer in Fantasy being able to reroll your leaderships is a lot more important than in 40k, so i would put him wither on a normal steed to run with the knigts or on foot with the warriors. Finally the lord is great, just look for the right wargear configuration for you, giving him Helm of Many Eyes and Rending Sword pretty much gives him 40k's pre-FAQ warptime which is huge.

Edit: Oh also the Lord on a Jugger already has a 1+ save so no need for the shield

So you are running 3 jugs? Excellent.
I suggest giving the jug riders Weapons so they can demolish things. The heroes can take halberds and still have a 1+ armor.
The lord may want a charmed shield for a bit of cannon ball safety.

I suggest your warriors take shields and halberds because those mixed with mok make a bloody mess on the battle field.
Also one halberd unit with the banner of eternal flame would help you a lot against regen things.

Marauders work super well with gw and run 10 wide totalling 41 attacks if they all get to strike.

Knights should get their weapons back the lances are a waste of points. Also musician is good in knight unit.
