Hello there folks,

Here's a subject I'd love to hear you about : music !
Precisely, music that conveys the feeling of a 40k faction, that woud be its acoustic identity the same way its appearance and colour scheme constitute its visual identity. Songs you hear when you deploy your army in all its glory, pulsating riffs stressing the bloodbath unfolding, gloomy requiems sealing the fate of the foe, battle chants telling of the fighters' legend... Let me (us!) hear them too !

As a first example, I love this song, a variation on Carmina Burana ; it has a sinister aspect to it, yet it lets triumphant chords pierce the darkness. I've always thought it was thus a most suitable theme for the Dark Angels in all their gothic glory.

It's your turn, go nuts !

(I'm even trying to gather enough tracks to punctuate my future battles ; has anybody experienced with something like that before ?)

I think this song really fits the image of Necrons bombarding the enemy with gauss fire and teslas.

Every time I hear "in my opinion" or "just my opinion" makes me want to strangle a puppy. People use their opinions as a shield that other poeple can't critisize and that is bs.

If you can't defend or won't defend your opinion then that "opinion" is bs. Stop trying to tip-toe and defend what you believe in.

I always found this to be a fitting Imperial Guard theme, the intro quote especially fits for the Commissars.

Bolt Thrower's "Anti-Tank" and "Last Stand of Humanity" are also fitting songs for the defenders of the Imperium.

The Imperial Guard dies, it does not surrender.

I dont know, I dont think anything can truly match the spirit of the Imperial Guard's motto of "war by attrition" quite like Iron Maiden's "the Trooper". It just fits the mood of that desperate charge, knowing that you may not make it, yet you charge on anyways. I'm tempted to put it on my phone, stick in my army box, and play it to my guys every time before a game, to "pump them up". Now to just figure out how to convert my guardsmen so they can up the irons...

I also thought this would be a fun Chaos theme. I can just imagine some chaos dude's singing this one.

Definitely this for the Necrons, it's instrumental and takes a little while to get started though (about 40 seconds in):

And this for the Dark Eldar, it's another instrumental, this time sinister:

Nosia - Machine gun sounded good for them but i think it's more accurate to say Adeptus Mechanicus.

I offer this as my input as Globus has been mentioned once already but i find this perfect for the Zealotry of the Imperium of Man, Take your pic but probably Witch hunters/ Sisters of battle are the best

I feel like it catches a lot of what perhaps the EMPEROR was about not what a lot of what the IOM has turned it into. A vigilant protector offering a noble purpose.... wut just cause I'm an ork doesn't mean I don't like a propah fighta!
