Hey Hey guys/gals, just finished up my first Squad for my SM army, had spare parts from some dreadnaughts / contemptor so used those for basing, thought I'd throw up here for some C n C, Had some problems with my camera so these are best pics i could get need a light box i think as the highlights looks better in person, go from VGC Ultramarine Blue ---> VGC Magic Blue. Weathered them in same style as few models I've already completed for the army.

Neehooo ill stop the waffle!

Thnx for looking!

@riverhawks32 thanks, kinda do look like smurfs they based off the Storm Wardens, in the deathwatch book (i think that's where the chapters mentioned)

@Imperial Monkey, yeah lower legs are gunmetal colour shows through in few places under the mud.

how did you do that lettering on the swords? decals? or freehand? I'd love to use whatever technique that is.

they look really great but I have to say the weathering on the boots is a bit much :(

These look great!
Just the legs has some issues: the mud looks really good, but in combination with the gunmetal lover leg armour (not a common theme) the mud look unatrually symetrical. Had the lower legs been blue as well, the gradual mud stains would have come out great.
And again with the shoulder pads and sword metal parts, the weathering looks great, but kind of odd next to the clean blue armour.

However, I think they look very nice, mud looks great, and the whole theme (together with the nice bases) makes my imagination plesantly wander of in speculation to who these guys are, and where do they come from. Thats "lots of character" in other words, and I like it.
