i have some amature things dealing with robes using greenstuff or procreate, what i did after mixing the compounds i just made small thin sheets and gently layered them over the part of the mini that will have a cloak or robe,

I don't follow. Why do you need a robed chest to make a captain?

I think he's using need to mean want. It is a common mistake.

Not for Terminators, they don't.

Only robed term chest I've seen is that Death Shadow guy they at GW converted with green stuff.

You'll be needing to get the greenstuff out. There used to be a decent tutorial showing a conversion made for Captain Belial, complete with robes, on GW's website. GW being GW, however, it seems to have vanished.

The Captain in Terminator armor has a robed torso....

Why not just use that for the basis of your conversion? You can chop and swap the arms if you need but it'd be a lot easier than making your own robes and would probably turn out better.

Not that I'm doubting your GS abilities, but I'm just assuming that if you have to ask how to do it then you don't know how to do it.

You can snag the terminator captains on ebay for less then ten bucks before shipping.

Edit: He's only 17 from the GW online store : Here's a link

I really hate that model. And my Gs abilitys arent that bad. Maybe i could.
Also anyone find it weird there are no terminator chests or bodies that have robes?

I think it because some chapters do have robes others dont, and mabey before battle vanilla marines neatly fold thier robes up and stick in the laundry before battle.

Its an astetic thing that if you used robed termies, makes your guys much more custom. id say go for it there's no reason not to

Boosting Black Templar Biker

Making your own GS robes is fairly easy if you have the right tools. Clay Shapers, Acrylic blocks, new x-acto blades, and a good lubricant(I use canola oil but water will do) all help make working with putty much more effective. Here are some robes I put on my Black Templar terminators and a work in progress on the last one.

You can see I've done the upper torso robes. The bottom half I do separately after I add some greaves to his lower legs.
