TLDR Version, click to see list:
Spoiler:
Njal Stormcaller - 245
Rune Priest (Meltabombs, Living Lightning, Murderous Hurricane) - 105
3 Wolf Guard (3x Power Fist, 3x Combi-Melta) - 129
8 Grey Hunters (Meltagun, Wolf Standard, Mark of the Wulfen, Rhino) - 185
8 Grey Hunters (Meltagun, Wolf Standard, Mark of the Wulfen, Rhino) - 185
8 Grey Hunters (Meltagun, Wolf Standard, Mark of the Wulfen) - 150
5 Grey Hunters (Meltagun, Razorback w/ TL Lascannon) - 155
5 Grey Hunters (Meltagun, Razorback w/ TL Lascannon) - 155
Land Raider (Multi-Melta) - 260
6 Long Fangs (5 Missile Launchers, Razorback w/ TL Lascannon) - 215
6 Long Fangs (5 Missile Launchers, Razorback w/ TL Lascannon) - 215
Total 1,999

The one concern I have is that the Land Raider doesn't have Extra Armor. I'm thinking I might drop Mark of the Wulfen from that unit in order to get Extra Armor because my Land Raiders have a propensity for geting immobilized in my deployment zone, either by enemy fire or by moving through difficult terrain. Everything else is pretty standard for my all-comers list. I normally don't run a Land Raider unless I'm also running Arjac but in this case I didn't have the points unless I start dropping Long Fangs and the second Rune Priest. I want the Land Raider in the list as a strong objective holder, and to be honest unless I run some Thunderwolves I don't really have many other competitive options in my collection right now.

Any suggestions and insight on how to improve the list are helpful!

I'm participating in a large league event that's being hosted by my LGS over the next 16 weeks. It's set up to mirror the NFL structure, but with fewer total games played.

The league is broken into two Conferences, NorCal and SoCal, and each Conference is broken into four Divisions of seven players. We each play one game against everybody in our division in the first 12 weeks (6 games), and we each play two Cross-Divisional games in the last 4 weeks of the regular season. From there, winners of each Division, and overall Wildcards move on to the Playoffs, and the top two Playoff winners play in the Semi-Finals to determine a Conference Champion. Conference Champions play each other in the Finals for an overall winner.

We must play the same Codex through the entire event, but we are allowed to change the composition of our army from game to game (effectively allowing us to tailor a certain amount for each opponent, since we know the overall book they are using, but not what style of list they are bringing).

The mission for every game is as follows:

Overview
The same mission will be played for each Masters League Game.
The Mission will be using battle points. 3 objectives worth 5 battle points each for a total of 15 battle
points.
All standard 40k mission rules are in effect (infiltrate, seize the initiative, random game length, etc.)
Masters League Mission: The mission is all three book missions played simultaneously, each mission is
an objective. There are 2 Capture and Control markers on 40mm bases, 3 Seize Ground markers on
25mm bases and Kill Points as objectives. Each objective is worth 5 battle points and tied objectives
worth 2.5 battle points.
Wipeout: If you manage to table your opponent you get 15 battle points.
The Setup
1. Exchange army lists with opponent and explain units etc.
2. Discuss Terrain.
3. Roll off to see who deploys Seize Ground markers first. Winning player decides who places first
or second. Whoever places the first marker will also place the 3rd marker and the other player
will place the second marker. Seize Ground markers can be placed anywhere on the table at
least 6” from table edge and 12” from each other.
4. Roll for Deployment type 1‐2 Pitched Battle 3‐4 Spearhead 5‐6 Dawn Of War
5. Roll to see who chooses to go first or second.
6. Player going first places Capture and Control marker in their deployment zone and must be 12”
away from a Seize ground Marker and vice versa.
7. Begin Game, Have fun.

So army lists need to be designed to take advantage of all three missions at once, and for maximum battle points you need to win all three. Overall battle points determine overall league standings.

My Divisional opponents are:

Orks
Grey Knights
Grey Knights
Imperial Guard
Dark Angels
Dark Eldar

Aside from the models in the list at the top, I have the following:

2x MM/HF Land Speeder
2x Vindicator
1x Rhino
1x Land Raider Crusader (w/ Multi-Melta)
2x Dreadnought (Right Arms: 1x Assault Cannon, 2x Lascannon, 1x Plasma Cannon - Left Arms: 2x DCCW/Heavy Flamer)
2x Drop Pod (1 un-assembled)
4x Thunderwolves (Magnetized Equipment)
1x Wolf Lord on Thunderwolf (Magnetized Equipment)
5x Wolf Guard Terminators (All with TH/SS, usually used when I play Vanilla/Vulkan lists. I use the leader as Arjac.)
14x Blood Claws
10x Wolf Scouts (BP/CCW, No Meltaguns for them at the moment. Need to order more)
2x Rune Priests
1x Wolf Priest

Aldarionn...with all due respect...get out of my damn head!

In all seriousness I almost posted a list identical to this list last night with the exceptions being that I had a Land Raider Redeemer with Extra Armor and Multi-Melta and the 2nd Rune Priest didn't have Melta bombs.

All in all, I think the list is as fine tuned as you can manage it; however, I would be motivated heavily to drop the Melta Bombs and Multi-Melta from the Land Raider for the Extra Armor you were discussing. Failing that, I would drop Mark of the Wulfen from one of the Rhino units over the Land Raider unit.

My understanding is that Njal and the Rune Priest are in the Rhinos? The reason I ask is that due to the latest FAQ...Njal is kind of lack luster due to the "can't use special powers because we said so" ruling. Now that depends on how you all play it; but here, we've decided that as everything requires Line of Sight, you'd have to disembark to cause the effect. With that said, I would probably in this case drop Njal in the place of a standard Rune Priest, a pack of Wolf Scouts and a Wolf Guard to attach to said Wolf Scouts. You should have enough points to afford both the Extra Armor and Multi Melta for your Land Raider and move merrily along.

Additionally, if I were running this, I would drop 1 Grey Hunter from each Rhino Pack to add 2 to the Land Raider Pack and switch it out either for a Redeemer or Crusader. But that's just me.

To be honest, I like your list. The Land Raider without anything to carry is a bit weird, but AV14 has a way of lingering that is appealing.

At the same time though, being able to take 3 Landspeeder Tornadoes w/ MM & HF, give the 3 8-man Grey Hunter packs Power Weapons, and take a Wolf Tail Talisman or Meltabombs on the Rune Priest is highly appealing to me. Plus with the Long Fang packs, why take a Godhammer pattern Land Raider? If you do stick with the Land Raider I would bring the Crusader. It can fire more weapons usually and the volume of fire is surprisingly useful against heavy infantry like Terminators.

Thunderwolves are nice but I've never liked them in lists with transports. No real logic to it, just one of those things I guess. Besides that they are expensive and surprisingly fragile if you aren't careful with them. Grey Knights could eat them easy with Halberds (anything with high Initiative and power weapons eats them) and they don't take getting shot at well. I would leave them home for sure.

Edit: I don't normally take Njal so I didn't consider the LoS problems that Unholy_Martyr presented. Dropping both him and the Land Raider frees up an awful lot of points to do more with, or just nets you a third Rune Priest and Choosers of the Slain for all of them...

Edit Edit: Apparently missed the 3rd Grey Hunter pack doesn't have a Rhino. Dropping Njal down to another Rune Priest lets you still bring 2 Landspeeders. Lets you keep the Land Raider, which I would make a Crusader. Sorry for the misread!

Have a look at this thread and my posts regarding the Lord of Tempest's ability. I'm pretty sure Chain Lightning and Vengeful Tornado still work, but the other effects do not.

I had though of adjusting Njal in order to take Land Speeders but that will depend on how the judges rule the Lord of Tempest's ability for the event. The reason I hesitate is because that would add two very easy Kill Points to the list and I'm already at 16.
