So I had this idea for a feral ork army and one that had been merged into Ghraz's army. I won't be using it in competitively, cause it is a fluffy army. I posted the list in the list section, but I will put it here for ease of access.

Ghrazkul Thraka 225

9 Black Orks with Great Weapons 360
These will be a count as unit of Meganobs, made Troops by Ghraz.

20 Feral Orks and their Big 'Un Gnoggler 160
These are a count as unit of Choppa boys led by a Power claw and bosspole nob, represented by the 10th Black Orc model.

Araknorok Spider "Da Red Crawley Fing" 115
This will be a counts as Battlewagon with Deffrolla and RPJ. A pimped out limo for Ghraz and his MANz.

3 Killa Kanz with Grotzooka, Rokkit Launcha and Big Shoota 135
Nuff Said.




So do these models seem acceptable? Is the idea itself good? Please comment.

I would totally play against it, that's for sure.

I actually play with Fantasy models as well - I've got a 30-man squad of WHFB Orcs and a 15-man squad of Kommandos (other than the 2 burnas, all of them are using two swords that I used from the second Orc box I bought). Nice idea!

TBH the only thing I would be worried about would be the BW/Araknorok. Would it be too different?

Ardboyz would be a much better fit for the Black Orcs. They're not armored well enough to be 2+ S&P. They're modeled with 4+ 'eavy armor at best.

The idea of a feral Ork army based on those models is a cool one though; you could definitely do bikers using the boarboyz models too.

I use five Boar Boys as Ork bikes. I've mech'd up the Boarz, given them bionic implants and strapped heavy gauge cannons to them as well as given the feral riders sluggas and choppas to represent the models.

If you are going with feral orks, I would avoid the black orcs; I personally use those to represent 'ard boyz and I think they are too well armored to be snake bites.

For the MANz, stone trolls with a shoulder pad would work well.

Boyz are boyz, so WHFB boyz work well as stand ins for 40K boyz.

Araknarok works well for a BW, just measure everything to the base and you are golden.

For the kans, you can try river trolls on dread bases and just have them holding the appropriate weapon.
