Here are the finished images of my Death Company Stormraven with the Chapterhouse Tru-Scale conversion kit. It is currently transporting a DC Dreadnought and DC Assault Troops. I chose the paint scheme to offset the amount of black. The "x" was masked and painted. The Angel of Death on the right wing is a custom-made decal.

All comments welcome. Thanks for taking a look.

It doesn't look like a flying land raider anymore! Great Job!

Freehand on the right wing is amazing.

Looks amazing.

My only complaint: you show us a big close up of the wing with a red X on it, and not of that killer freehand Sanguinius.

I call shenanigans!

Here are the latest pix, covering the decals I made in Photoshop and printed, then applied to the Stormraven.

The image of the Grim Reaper was printed on white decal paper, coated with acrylic, then cut to shape.

Thanks for the comments, everyone. As I mentioned at the top of the pix, the Angel of Death is a custom made decal (as are the tail markings). No shenanigans attempted . Here's a close up of the wing.

As posted by Requiem, I show how I did it in the build forum if you are interested. Thanks.

Well that wing is ridonculous. Very cool. I thought that was free hand at first too.....and was right about to give up and burn my minis. LOL.

Looks great! How was the CH add-on kit to work with?

Hey Ozy, I really liked the kit. The part required minimal clean-up and the mod is actually very straightforward. The biggest change I made was that to make the extension fit, you have to remove the engine supports from the wings. Chapterhouse instructions basically toss them away, but I used the removed mounts to support the tail boom, which I think looks a lot better.

The detail on the resin parts is very nice, and creates good continuity with the Stormraven kit. When you are finished, the ship will be tail heavy. Even using the new mount provided in on the bottom of the Chapterhouse mod, I had to add weight to the front to get it to sit right (in my case, I wanted it leaning forward as if it was coming in to do a dust-off).

Overall, I recommend it. Ordered the kit on a Saturday and had it in on the workbench the following Friday.

Thanks for the comments, everyone. I will post images of the DC and the Dreadnought once I have them squared away (hopefully this weekend).
