Here is my latest attempt at a VC list at 2k points, tell me what you guys think.
Lords
Master Necromancer, lvl 4, Master of the Dead
Core
30 Zombies w/standard
30 Zombies w/standard
30 Skeletons w/full command and spears
30 Skeletons w/full command and spears
Special
20 Grave Guard w/full command
Corpse Cart
3 Vargheists
Rare
2 Terrorgheist
I still have around 250 points left and am unsure what to use it on, anyone have suggestions?

Vargulfs are Rare, not Special.
I'd use those 250 points for another necromancer or 2, and wraiths.
Take the points from the vargs (since you're maxed on Rare) and get more grave guard, and more core.

My bad, those are Vargheists, edited the list to show the change.

From what I've seen so far, more is better for vampire counts and wizards.
Recovering D6+2 or 2D6+2 zombies on two or three units is just huge. A level 4 is great, but more successfully casting of invoke will put a lot of pressure on your opponents dispel dice.
Being able to have a level 1 throw 2 dice at invoke means that all your wizards are threats. That's very different from most lores.

As I said, I have around 250 points left to spend, I was thinking of adding in a couple normal necromancers to go with this list. How would you suggest I disperse these necromancers?
The exact amount of points I had left is 230, i've decided to use that for 2 lvl 1 necromancers and 1 lvl 2 necromancer, does anyone have a recommendation for where to place these guys?

I'd like to vote for a little protection for your Master Necro. A little protection is never wrong, methinks.

Talisman of preservation is usually a stock choice for a lvl 4 wizard.

Yep the Talisman of preservation works wonders.
Just bunker the necros in a block of zombies or you. If your bunker gets threatened, just raise another, and jump in next turn.
You're probably going to want musicians for the zombie blocks too. The fast reform is very handy to have around.
