Finished the basing off on these today, added blue glow to the jump packs by client request.

I actually really like the blue glow. Effects are one of those things that just detract from the model, unless they're tastefully done, like these, in which case they really add.

What colors did you use for that?

That chaplain is amazing. If you dont mind me asking what is your recipie for that bone.

The blue glow:
Ultramarines blue, Ice Blue, White. Couple of intermediate mixes.

The bone:
VMC Panzer aces weathered wood
Devlan mud wash.
VMC Panzer aces weathered wood highlight
VMC Panzer aces light mud highlight
VMC Ivory extreme highlight
Intermediate mixes here and there, I do the colour blends on a wet palette so I can pick up a tone from anywhere between the two colours.

Damn, I like the blue glow idea, if I end up with Marines from the 6th box this year, I might have to nab that.

Very nice! Just wondering....is the paint thick or is that the camera....either way looks great!

The only roughish spot is the red shoulder pad. That was glossed and sealed after decalling by hand. The airbrushed varnish coat should smooth everything out.
