So, basically, I like zombies and the vamps can take zombies...so if I put 1 + 1 together...I get this...

LORD
Master Necro
- lvl 4, Gen, Talisman of Preservation, Ironcurse Icon, Shrieking Sword, vamp

HERO
Necro
- lvl 1, vamp
(this build x4, except one has a dispel scroll and one has a the seeds of rebirth)

CORE
Zombies
- x100, FC

Zombies (x4)
- x50, FC

SPEC
Corpsecart (x2)
- Unholy loadstone

Fell Bats
- x2

RARE
Mortis Engine

So what do you think? Some things to think about...
- Base this on a fun scale, as that is all i'm playing for
- My thoughts are that the 100 block of zombies could be a hammer unit because they already have a static combat resolution of 10 (if I did my math right).
- should I combine the 50 man units so that I have two more 100 man blocks?
- Most of the little trinkets in the army are just point wasters (shrieking sword, seeds of rebirth)

So, whatdoyathink?

Where the sun crosses the field of blood.

Just a few things that jump out to me.
1: Don't run your zombies 100 man strong... At the start of battle. You're supposed to raise them! So start at 80 or something, If you want 100 man blocks. Also, how do they have static 10? You may have a maximum of 3 in Rank Bonus. OTOH, you're going horde and denying steadfast... Plus, the look on your opponents face will be worth it.

2: The equipment should be improved a little, at least those point wasters. Make your Necros lvl2! Or at least some, because then you're going to have full access to the whole lore.

3: Deployment... Are the Necromancers going to go with the Zombies? Isn't that a little too risky, placing your casters in the front rank of the, well, front ranks?

4: I would also suggest you have a few more cheap units as deployment drops and redirectors/etc. Fell Bats are all fine, but one unit might be a little too little.
Edit: Oh wait, there's 5 zombie units. Nevermind, you might have enough drops Though there's nothing wrong with drawing out your opponents drops first, so feel free to include more cheap units if you wish.

Other than that, this army seems... Insane. Which probably means fun in this case Though lack of diversity would bother me. But if you're fine with that, then go for it!

Thanks for your reply! I did not know about that cap on +3 for ranks, thanks for the info. Would you just have the necros chilling at the back of the horde?

Put a unit of zombies up front. Put a necro in a 2nd unit of zombies, behind the first.
Now you can't get shot up as quickly, and your fairly safe from combat.

Drop 1 necromancer, add 4 wraiths as heroes. Put wraith heroes into zombie units. They will give you much needed hitting power in melee (and you're still under the 25% point limit on heroes).
Drop 60 zombies to pay for the wraiths.

So instead of 300 zombies to start with, you'd have 240.
2 units of 30, 2 units of 50, 1 unit of 80.

You can't have them in the back of a unit, unless the front rank is already full of Command and other Heroes.

However, you could go 5 wide on the Zombies; throw in 3 Wraiths, and a Necro. The 3 Wraiths, Standard, and Musician go up front, and the Necro is forced into the 2nd rank.
Only question is if this is a good idea or not. If you lose that unit; you're out a lot of points.

Cause the chicks dig it...

Needs more Zombies, in my opinion. Bats? Warmachines? Bah.
