Just saw a movie clip from Disney called John Carter I think. When I saw it, first thing I thought when I saw the aliens was TAU. Or the Kroot when you seem them "pose" to shoot.

So I wonder if anyone who saw this, thinks they could be Tau and we could actually have a live action 40K movie not the computer generated crap they put out.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

If you've never heard of "John Carter of Mars", go down to your local library. Right now.

They're fantastic novels written by Edgar Rice Burroughs.

Well, the four-armed guys have been with John Carter since the early 1920s

They are not very much like Tau, neither in the books or the apparently the film. Much more "space tribals" or "space primitives" actually, closer in theme to perhaps Orks, Exodites, Space Wolves or White Scars than the technophile race of the Tau.

I can't remember for sure, didn't some of the human looking natives of Mars have blue skin?

The Treens in Dan Dare had green skin.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Well the trailer looked dum. I had always imagined the giants be more robust. Also it looked too action packed lets hope thats just editing for the kids.

Every time I hear "in my opinion" or "just my opinion" makes me want to strangle a puppy. People use their opinions as a shield that other poeple can't critisize and that is bs.

If you can't defend or won't defend your opinion then that "opinion" is bs. Stop trying to tip-toe and defend what you believe in.

There is already a movie with live action Tau. It's called Hunter/Prey I believe.
