So, here's the feedback; the army is very fast and behaving good. If an enemy wants some meltas or so near me, he has to deep strike or move very fast. Quantum shielding is sort of crap, but bless it while it holds and prey for no-penetrating! Open topped is a real problem then, an the army can vanish in just a couple of turns. Anyway, transport are fast and are better kept AWAY from any threat (11 armor!). Anyway, tesla destructor is good, twin linked is good, and it can punish even some veichles (S7 is not bad on an assault 4!). I found gauss cannon to be pretty crappy, S5 is kinda meh! for a CANNON on a BARGE!

But my REAL problems started with Close Combat. I faced a 4 model terminator squad with normal setting (power fist only) and, even if I managed to score 5 hits (nothing with that DAMN lord!), I only resolved a wound. Then they smashed me 3 wounds, I tested Ld and failed. Retreated and swept out. An ENTIRE squad of 10 (7 in that moment) immortals + cryptek + lord, smashed away...I don't want to think about Deathstars like Paladins with Halaberds, Genestealers, DE or Terminators with TH/SS. In this optic, are the Pyrrhain Immortals good enough (furious charge and counter attack)?

What should I do? Shooting-wise, it's not a bad army. Barges move and open fire with Tesla Destro. Scythes Move and open fire with Tesla Destro. Command Barge can open tanks like butter, but then are subdued by assaults or massive fire. Lots of dices for me with tesla, but no-VP means lots of saves, also. 2+ are my personal nightmare, that termies simply won't die.

So, any advice to make this list more competitive? (as soon as models will arrive at my local GW shop, I think I will start to buy and build this army, and I love playing competitive and tournaments, even if it would be my first time in WH!)

Pyrrian Immortals don't seem to have the chops to hold their own against dedicated close combat units. High strength close combat attacks without Rending/Power Weapons can work if you're rolling a lot of dice, but after the first round of combat, Pyrrians are tepid at best. If you really want a strong close combat element in your army, try Wraiths. They have a high Strength, they Rend and they bring an Invulnerable save to the table. They are vulnerable to Power Fists, but a wing of five or six Canoptek Wraiths should offer you a very potent melee option. Otherwise, you could consider Triarch Stalkers and/or Heavy Destroyers to deal with 2+ Saves, but both of those options bring their own vulnerabilities to the table.

Skaer's advice is all good. Pyrrian Eternals are certainly less useless in CC than standard Immortals/Warriors, but they are not at all a "serious" CC unit. Rather, they're good for finishing off weakened units that have perhaps wandered too close, or piling into an assault already going in your favor. They cannot go toe-to-toe with a dedicated assault unit and expect to survive. Even with a Lord attached, your experience against those Terminators seems very expected. In most cases, Necron troops just do not belong in CC.

Strongly agree with the recommendation to add Wraiths. They are, bar none, the best counter-assault unit in the Necron codex. Many would say they are simply the best unit in the codex. Unlike Immortals, they do belong in CC. A full unit would be great for protecting your fragile troops and vehicles.

Lastly, I'm not really sure you need Anrakyr. Before it was ruled that he cannot use MitM from a CCB, he was great. Now, I am not convinced he's worth the points. MitM, while lots of fun, is a gimmick with limited use...for me, the real appeal to a CCB Overlord are the Sweep Attacks and the ability to throw a hard target into CC almost anywhere you need it. A regular Overlord can Sweep Attack as well as Anrakyr but can be much better in CC/resilient to shooting for less points (e.g. Overlord w/ Warscythe, MSS, Weave).

Since you are using NS for transport I would recomend putting both Destro Teks with on group of immortals, swapping them to gauss, and keep them safish and hunt vehicles, then put both your Lords with the Pyhhrrieans ( sp? ) . Pyrhiieans with 2 lords and Tesla is a slightly more credible CC threat.
