Storage is a bit of a nightmare for Necromunda terrain, luckily for me that is someone else's problem - the boards are at a friends house. I've seen a lot of cardstock scenery websites with pdfs you can buy etc. I'm not sold on the idea personally as I can't imagine it looking grimy and rusty enough for my tastes, and it would be a shame if you didn't paint it.
Gorkamorka was really cool, I was thinking of using the Ash Waste rules rather than the Ork setting. I think one problem is that you need to base every model on smaller bases so they can pile into little trucks. I'd love to make a full Mad Max style Ash Wastes/Gorkamorka board, with a fort that uses a lorry as a gate etc. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
No real idea for the board game thing - I would say maybe make it from MDF laser cut details, and hinges on the underside. I'm also very tempted to do a Blood Bowl pitch and team...

I like your style too, I think your scavvy gang would just be perfect for a battle against my cyber gladiatiors - I can see it now, there'd be bits of zombie everywhere!
I love the classic bulkhead bits. If you use them though they can make the cardboard bits you slot in get a bit dog eared, it'd be worth protecting the card where it fits together.

Where abouts in the UK are you based dude?
I'm in the West Midlands
I spent a while looking for ideas for game boards that could be folded away, I'm not sure what game you had in mind but I like the idea of doing a bloodbowl pitch myself, and I found this stuff which I think would work for a transportable (you can roll it up even when painted) board for bloodbowl, heroquest etc. I'm tempted. Also I found this.

OK well I think I am set on making that tiled mat into a bloodbowl pitch at some point, I'll add it to my never ending list of things to do.

Oh I have a Centurius I was going to put on ebay as well. And apparently I have a warhammer quest growler squig, who knew? He almost found a place in my goliath gang as a gnasher, he has the hair for it.
You should definitely post your INQ28 updates, and gorkamorka stuff too. I know what you mean about building/converting - I'm still trying to find a way to make painting as natural and comfortable to do as just chopping models apart and rearranging them for a bit.

Looking very cool. I don't have any real criticisms but if I am being picky then something about the Widow bugs me slightly, the movement is a bit hard to gauge: from the swing of her loincloth and tilt of the head it makes her look like she is turning or stepping backwards which I like, but I think the curve of the whip doesn't match this movement. I think it would look better with the whip looking like it is being pulled back in the same motion. Also I personally think the plastic whip looks a bit fat and short and could be remade with wire.

Stop messing around with computer games and paint your scavvies.
Maybe you need to find a quicker technique to painting, I can understand wanting to do things perfectly but you have to do something you enjoy and can justify spending time on, or they will never get done.
By the way my friend built a whole scavvy gang largely based on your methods and bits guide, they are pretty awesome.
Oh and you ought to post everything in one thread I reckon, it's too easy to miss new threads.

Not a fan of Orks in general but actually these ones look really good, particularly the one with the shield. The pose and helmet helps give him a sense of identity and personality.
The vampire is badass, I don't remember seeing a vampire with a mohawk before. Those Space Wolf heads have fangs as well don't they? Good idea.

Cool, though quite a comical looking fellow. He also looks a bit fantasy battle, perhaps you could add some sort of iconic 40k element to drag him out of the past? Something like a bionic eye or servo skull.
As for his special rule, how about he counts as a weapon reload if he is within 6 inches (once per game) but also counts as encumbered. Not being able to run or climb ladders is a pretty huge penalty, you could maybe say it counted as a leg wound (-1 MV). It would be OK as long as you don't just constantly use it as a cheap way to reload an expensive weapon.

I think he looks cool, love the bleeding eye sockets and the yellow doesn't look bad at all though it is quite a bright colour, like he was going jogging at night when he got turned. Oh and he looks slightly like a zombie Bruce Willis.
Overall I think your painting is of a really high standard and you should do it more!

that's some pretty great technique you've got going on there, reminds me of PDH's style. I love the cracks/seeping corruption on the head of the guy being trodden on, looks fantastic. Looking forward to seeing the next member of the gang painted in a few months.

I like the assassin well enough, but the pitslave boss is just fantastic. Great use of bits, nicely disguised the origins of the head as well, just very inventive overall. He is full of character, quite Borderlands as you say and maybe a bit cartoony for my tastes, but you could perhaps give him a relatively gritty paint job. Handlebar moustache and buzzsaw arms, great. Makes me want to revist my pitslaves, they are easily the most fun conversions to make.
As for getting back to Necro, have you considered finishing your Scavvies? Not sure if you will have thought of this, but you've got a whole scavvy gang sat around unpainted. If you got started today you could have a game against Baiyuan's Delaques in a couple of decades.
I love the Goliath models, and those are the best painted ones I have seen, that guy has many more on his site. I like these ones too: http://www.coolminiornot.com/187096?browseid=8253863
But it depends on if you just want to paint or do conversions. I don't think Goliaths are in need of much converting but really need good paintjobs - tattoos etc. Both Delaques and Van Saar need lots of converting to make them look decent, although the Heresy gangers help with Delaque. I don't think plastic Delaque are viable which is a shame.
I would be interested in seeing slightly re-imagined Orlocks too. Definitely not made from Catachans, but perhaps using the waistcoat type chests from Empire Flagellants. They could share a lot of the aesthetic with Goliaths - tattoos, leather, etc.

I think Orlocks are only boring because of the models. I think you could do a whole new style of Orlock that was pretty cool - quite biker-y without being steroid abusers like Goliath, with some elements of miners/industrial workers. And no loin cloth sashes! I also think Escher would be great fun to make, but I still don't think the plastic parts are there for that project - it's one I have mulled over at great length.
Goliaths were my first gang (I made some horrible plastics from Catachans and Marauders for some reason) and I enjoy the way they play. With the Community rules they are a good gang, although Van Saar still have the edge.

Well Anthony Case is redoing the Outlander rules so maybe the new version will be better. I quite like scavvies but I don't think they are as much fun as a house gang although my friend seems to love them. I think house gangs just have more variety in tactics while outlanders get a bit repetative. Pitslaves were the same.
Orlocks are tough, they have ferocity. They just aren't super muscled. My goliaths were not great, the real models are fantastic - a lot of the plastic muscled parts are just bad sculpts, like Catachans.

Stocky little fellow. I like the beard, I think that sort of detail really makes a model look unique.
I have a bit of a pet hate of the plastic terminator legs as they seem quite plain compared to some of the alternatives, but I think if you can get some brass etch on there that will really up the detail levels. Everything else is looking pretty cool, the hammer looks interesting. Hammers are always the best choice.
Good to see you posting again!
