Exactly, does anyone know where one could buy separate ball joints (ones that holds the arm/leg in place, but still makes them possible to move)?

What for or what size?

What does the Exalted option do? No bloody idea but it sounds good.

Well, I was thinking of scratchbuilding some sort of deff dread, and I wanted its arms to be able to move (at least a little). I suppose the size (of the orbs) should be around a centimeter.

Ah OK. I think that you will have to visit the DIY store or build from scratch.

This site should help with the scratch build bit:

There are companies out there that sell Ball and Socket joints, much like the ones used in Gundam Model Kits.

The only one I found in my quick internet search is this one: http://www.hlj.com/product/KBYD-112B

Apparently, there's a company called Yellow Submarine that made some really good ones, but they're discontinued on HLJ.com.

Hmm, those looks pretty good Jim, does anyone have an idea of how big they are? Oh and also, do the balls "get stuck" in the socket, so that the arms can move without the ball falling out, so to speak? Because, that is quite a necessity for this to work.

Otherwise, I guess I'll just buy a gundam model and cut of the joints...

I've never used them myself, but I've seen others online using them. They usually come in a variety of sizes. If I was at home, I could do more searching... One place you might want to look is some toy/action figure modifiers.

I remember a gentleman going by "Jin Saotome" using products like this in his conversions, and I know he ahs tutorials on his web site. Might want to look there.
