Good afternoon Dakkanaughts. I'm fairly new to Warhammer and I've got some questions about painting Death Skulls. I'm specifically working on some warbikes and I was wondering if the Death Skulls would bother to even use them? If so, how would they splash their paint on the things?

I've run several google searches for "Death Skulls Warbike" etc and turned up only one image which was just a blue warbike. Any tips would be awesome, because I'm at a total loss here. I'm pretty sure Death Skulls don't really care about their image, and would only slap a simple, asymmetrical layer of paint on anything they were going to use. Suggestions?

Hmm... orks being orks and this being an infinite universe, you're pretty much free to do what you like

As long as things look rather ramshackle and a bit scuffed people tend to call it all good for orks.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Well, no better time than now to learn how to apply a scorched, dirty look to my models. I guess I'll just put a blue stripe diagonally across the whole thing and call it purty.

Well, Death Skulls are known for looting. What about looking into converting some looted Space Marine bikes, Eldar jetbikes, etc? You could also consider arming normal Ork warbikes with looted weapons, attaching salvaged armour, etc.

As an example, I'm thinking you could get a Space Marine attack bike and put an Ork rider on there with relative ease, maybe put a Gretchin in the sidecar, add a few bits of bolted-on armour plating and so on.

Driven away from WH40K by rules bloat and the expense of keeping up, now interested in smaller model count games and anything with nifty mechanics.

I'd say go with as much loot as possible on a bike, be that if the bike itself is looted given the wide pool you have to loot from:
Eldar Jetbike
Reaver Jetbike
SM Bike
Chaos Bike
Destroyer
Ravener
boars etc

Or strapping a whole bunch of loot to the back of the bike (the more affluent the looter the bigger a bike he's gonna need for what he loots)

Editted:

Looted juggernaught would look good too as a bike replacement
