Who would win in CQB against each other? Blood angels or world eaters? I believe WE isn't in 6th edition yet and if they arent yet does anyone know when they will be.

In gameplay?

Not much of anything beats Blood Angels in CC.

I thought the World Eaters were just the Khorne Berserkers

Blood Angles would win mostly because the fluff always favors the best selling army!

Funnily enough, I have a pre-heresy World Eaters army and use the Blood Angels codex to represent it. For PH WE modellers, it's almost like the BA codex was made with them in mind, everything lines up so well.

Post-heresy, I agree with bombboy1252, in the background there isn't much that could take on a Khorne berserker and win.

I have a "thing" for fighting in close combat is why I ask, in 40k space marine on the xbox360 I play a assault or raptor on multiplayer. I really wanted to play a black Templar army for a long time because the emperors champion aspect of the chapter I thought was awesome. But I heard their not in 6th edition yet, world eaters same thing being able to summon bloodletters and a bloodthirster is gnarly but no 6th edition . Now blood angels are probably aside from the space wolves the absolutely coolest loyalist marine army out there. Every vehicle has the "fast" rule, jump pack can be equipped on every troop except terminators I think, Death Company (squeals like little girl), several other things I can't think of at the moment. As far as close combat chaos other then world eaters, not sure if black legion is CC or not.

World Eaters. In game terms they use the BA codex anyway for counts as.

I disagree with both of you and side with DarkWind, Daeth Company woudl wipe the flor with Khorne Bezerkers.

No.

During the Siege of Terra, it was the World Eaters who spearheaded the assault on the Eternity Gate, a massive line of near-impregnable fortifications garrisoned by the entire Imperial Fists Legion AND the Blood Angels. . . and broke through.

In game terms, World Eaters would just be Khorne Berzerkers and support units with the MoK. Blood Angels would almost certainly win against that.

In fluff terms, the World Eaters are THE close-combat specialists. There is no loyalist chapter which could meet them one-on-one and survive. Fortunately for the Imperium, the World Eaters are fragmented and wander around in small warbands, which allows the Imperium to concentrate forces against them as necessary.

Well that pretty much answered that question. Blood angels will be my army I begin to collect although I'm still upset Black Templars aren't a 6th edition army yet or if they even plan on updating them.

6th edition?? 6th edition for Warhammer 40,000 doesn't exist yet. 40k is currently in it's 5th edition.

Oh really? I'm new to all this really, which explains all the questions. But someone had told me 40k was in the 6th edition which led me to believe that. Thank you for the clarification dude

6th is rumored to be on the way, and the Necron codex was made with 6th edition in mind.

Yes this summer apparently, so don't buy the rulebook yet (unless you are getting the Assault on Black Reach set for the minis/dice/templates etc.)

In the fluff, I'd give it to the Word Eaters, but the Blood Angels would only be slightly less ferocious in melee
