This is my first vassle battle reports, if you guys like it please tell me, also if i make any mistakes please tell me and how i can improve this

So i decided to have a test game between GK and IG and see what GK can do against mech guard.

GK


HQ - Crowe. 150 pts

Turn 1

So I don't have screenshot of turn 1, but all it happens is that IG got first turn.

All the shootings from IG wrecked 3 rhinos. 1 GK dies from some shootings.

GK kill both vendetta, 1 manticore and explodes 1 chimera and kills 4 guys but they pass pinning.

Here is the view at the start of turn 2



IG turn 2

The sentinel arrives from reserve. all the shooting, stuns all 3 rhinos, killed few guys from the purifer squads. one plasma gets hot and kills himself



GK turn 2

all 3 rhinos pass their tests so they can shoot and move.

The 2 left chimera both loss its multilaser and stunned. The manticore is stunned. The plasma squad rhino is immobalised and losses its multilaser.

the scout sentinel is exploded by a dread.



vendread shoot at the hydra and stun one and explode the other. The other 2 chimera is both stunned and 1 losses its multilaser.

IG turn 3


Guys disembarke out of the transports because they are all stunned and if i don't i won't get any shooting. (they will be outside next turn anyway so i just disembarked them)

All the shooting, explodes 1 rhino and wrecks the other. 1 purifer dies from explosion.

both purifer squads that were outside got shot up a bit and losses some guys. (keeping the psycannons alive and killing off the others first)



GK turn 3

from left to right.

dread shoots at chimera infront and explodes it, kills 3 guys in explosion.

The purifers disembarked and shoot at the chimera infront, only stuns it, but in assualt they kill it.

The rhino then moves and tank shocks and the squad passes ld and just moves out of the way. in shooting, the squad fails morale and falls back.

The chimera next to it, is wrecked and the squad is pinned.

hydra is stunned again.

Purifers on the right hand multi assualts both vet squads and win combat and the command squad runs aways while the other squad is sweeped.



IG turn 4

The left squad shoots at the purifers infront of them and kills a few and assualts them but doesn't kill the last one, and they stay in combat.

falling back unit rallys.

both chimera on the right flame the purifer squad and kills all but one.

the last plasma command squad guy shoots and kill the last purifer but get hot and kills himself. (rapid firing range)



GK turn 4

The left hand squad got a few guys killed but pass morale.

manticore is immobilised

tank shocked the vet squad but again they pass leadership.

vendread kill the hydra.

one chimera is wreck on the right hand side.

the lone purifer wins and sweeps the vet squad and hides



IG gave up because they already lost.

Purifiers are strong, aren't they?

They tend to do well against mech lists but have problems with horde lists that have psychic defense. Especially if the horde are assault terminators.

maybe I should have the vendetta shooting the dreads first, since they are so dangerous, but I didn't because they had a cover save which reduces my change of doing anything to a very low chance, so i thought killing the transports will be better. also I didn't put any terrain on the board because i was lazy, but that would just made the fight last longer and prolonged the fight because there will be more cover for everyone.

Maybe a mech dark eldar list will do better, if they got first turn. I will try that out, next.

Also maybe vs blood angel like your red fleas list (downgraded to 1750), how would you downgrade your list to 1750?

Definitely should have taken down the dreads first. They are incredibly dangerous to any and all mech.

That being said, the pyscannons are just as if not more effective than the auto-cannons against vehicles once they get in range.
