This is a commission to paint a Dark Angels Strike Force consisting of three 10 man Tactical squads and a Forgeworld Contemptor Dreadnought.

Here's a picture of the models involved:



The contemptor had already been built and part painted by the client but he wasn't happy with the way it came out so it will be completely repainted.

The first thing that was done was to produce a test mini for the colour scheme that the client had chosen:

The client's got some pre-heresy bolters for the ones without which he's going to add when they get back to him.

@mould2k: Thanks very much, which areas were you interested in? The green of the armour is a 50/50 mix of Tamiya J.A Green and Tamiya Deep Green which is then highlighted with Snot Green and then Goblin Green on the highest edges.

Cheers, it was the highlighting I was most interested in. My Tau are (deliberately) in DA colours and I can't get my highlights to pop that much. Have just been using a Snot Green highlight, will try a very fine Goblin Green on edges too. Thanks.
