This weekend Soldado and I decided to take a trip out to Brea, CA for a 1850 point RTT. I really want to practice my potential 1750 list so I basically just moved some things around to get it to 1850. Here's what I played.

HQ
Coteaz
GM w/MC sword, incinerator, rad grenades
Elite
Purifiers x 8 w/D. Hammer, warding staff, 4 halberds, 2 psycannons
Ven Dread w/2 autocannons, psybolt
Vindicaire
Troops
4 squads of Warrior acolyte x 3
2w/ razorbacks w/psybolt, searchlight
FA
Stormraven w/TL multi-melta, TL Assault Cannon, Searchlight
Heavy
2 x Dreadknight w/Heacy incinerator, Personal Teleporter
Dreadnought w/2 autocannons, psybolt

Game 1

GK vs BA all jump
My first opponent was a cheery fellow by the name of Todd. He was playing 4 squads of assault marines with meltas, a scout squad with a ML, a librarian, 3 priests , a squad of sanguinary guard, and 3 devastator squads. 2 with missiles and 1 with lascannons. The mission was spearhead deployment with 5 objectives. After placing the objectives, they scatter 2d6 with the possibility to go off the board. We placed them fairly centrally and three of them scattered, but not enough to matter. I won the roll to go first and deployed fairly aggressively along the spearhead bubble. I got a 2 for Grand strategy and gave both my dreads scoring. I kept two of my warrior squads in reserve. He deployed his devastators up on hills in his fairly open deployment zone and his AMs a bit back from the bubble with lots of FNP coverage. He infiltrates his scouts to my right in a forest and I infiltrate my assassin into a ruin to my left.

Anways, tough loss....the 2 warrior squads on foot seems like an awful idea though.

Thanks... I guess? haha. I'll be posting the rest of the battle reports in a bit. The walking warrior squads actually server a similar function to grots or min sized necron warrior squads. I keep them in reserve with psychic communion as long as I can and have them sneak onto objectives late game.

Why complain? It;s not like you had to get off the couch to chase a link did you?

Yeah, it's a weird thing to complain about. Posting reports within Dakka takes a lot more work and requires more steps then posting it on my blog does. I mean, if you really want an explanation.

But other than that, Game 3 is up. Hopefully you guys enjoy the read!

copy + paste takes work? Its annoying having to goto another website to read a batrep which I started to read on dakka......you post a link to your blog hoping people go back to it in the future, why else would you post the link? otherwise you would simply copy pasta it here.

You played some great games, but there wasn't really much you can do against the dice in game 1. BTW, that BA army is very similar to my own when I was playing BA back then.

It takes about as much work as clicking a link. I'm very sorry to inconvenience you. But as you said, you wont be back! So you don't have to worry about it in the future. I bet that's a load off your mind!

@Jy2: It's a very difficult list for GK in general I think. I know people were saying BA was dead with the advent of halberds, but most people don't take enough halberds to stop multiple squads of angry marines from beating your face in.
The squad with the lascannons was what threw me the most. Lascannons are good I heard!
