Hi there everyone! Hope you all are doing great and crushing your enemies!
I have a question here that a friend of mine, who has just started playing fantasy orks, been having problems with. He wants to know are you allowed to make ork skins different colors? I know some people make them red or blue (I prefer the different types shades of green).
His idea is to make them grey, and make stripes of gold and silver on them, like they are stone orks with traces of gold and silver in them, is that allowed or is it taboo?
Thank you all in advance for helping me out once again!!!

What if he made them green skin, with gold or silver warpaint? He likes his metallic paints, another scheme he had an idea of was making the skin camo patterned, like green, khaki, black and brown and together in blotches, but I think that's more 40k than Fantasy.

Thank you all for the speedy replies and all the help, that's why Dakka Dakka is my fav forum.
So basically it comes down to this, if he wants to contend in the Golden Demon, non-green greenskins area a no-no, otherwise everything goes?
I also read Gotrek and Felix DPBellathrom, and I remember those white orks, does that mean they are a legit color, since it is a Warhammer book?
I was staring at the screen like a moron for 10 minutes at those My Little Pony marines, so wrong yet so intriguing. . .

I like the way you think Bounty, the reason I liked his stone orks idea was, just think of all the detailing he can do, cracks in the stone, moss growing on them, though I think he might have to remove the gold and silver veins idea, the orks would be extinct in a matter of days if Dwarfs discovered they could be mined! Although on the other hand that could be some interesting fluff, I like writing fluff, so I could help my friend with that.
We aren't pro painters, so the Golden Demon isn't anything we should be worried about soon!
The Mare-ines (just love the name) is the most amazing thing I've seen in a while, and I browse odd models all day.
