I just bought the Terran starter, and started thinking, "It would be cool to have them fighting around a big space station." Then I realized, the Death Start is a REALLY big space station. Has anyone seen a Death Star, or Death Star terrain? I want to attempt this but don't really know where to start.

Were there be dragons....

The death star is about the size of a small moon.... what about using the lego star wars death star? thats a pretty big bugger?

I could, or at least model one off of it. That hadn't even occured to me. I'd just rather it not be lego.

Why not buy a cheap polystyrene sphere and paint it grey?

If you haven't seen it. Lego is producing a new series of Star Wars lego ships packaged in planets. The planets are about 4" diameter and one is the Death Star with a tie interceptor. Around 96 pieces. About $10.

I saw those, and bought all three of them. They are good size when next to my frigates and cruisers but tiny compared to my battleship

Try hunting one of these down:

Here's the Deathstar mode next to the Titanium Super Star Destroyer(which is about 3 inches long):

I won a death star model kit back in the early 90s at some conventional in SF (I was only 8ish)

The retail was 200 bucks, unfortunately I had no clue on how to do a model that complex and eventually lost everything. It was probably close to 30" in diameter.

Unfortunately I can't find this model kit.

AMT makes a model kit that is close to 20 inches in DIA

It's out of production, but very common to find and fairly easy to put together, at least easy compared to some Zeppelin models I assembled.
