Hello, my first post is coming. And I'll like to present everyone my new Dread, with the Death Wing colours. The idea is not mine, I see one winged contemptor on the internet (I can't remember where, sorry) and I like the idea so much, so here it's my 'cover'. The Missile launcher is from the Land Speeder, and the sword was made from two Eldar Wraith lord ones.

personally like the washed out look a little more than the super vibrant one. also awesome mini!

Awesome work. I have an unbuilt Contemptor sitting in my hobby bin, you and the other Contemptor posters have convinced me it is time to build it. Amazing work on the sword and the wings.

I love the pose, but the color is too brown in my opinion. They are supposed to be 'bone white' but he seems more sand colored. Maybe if you went over with bleached bone on the really raised areas it would help.

I might also be the camera. That's my only concern though, otherwise the painting and posing is top-notch!

I concur. Gorgeous model, fantastic conversion work, but the color looks more yellow/brown than bone in these shots. That first one looks more Imperial Fist than Deathwing.

Inspirational. Makes me want to get one of these contemptors.

Looks great but I am not a fan of the wings. It just looks out of place to me. Good yellow job though.

A willingness to convert a Comtemptor like that, I appreciate very much. The wings and sword really make it stand out; definitely invokes a classical art feel.

I'm not sold on the color completely, but it looks a lot less...fakey/obviously a fiction-based model compared to traditional Deathwing paintjobs.

As for the 'first' winged Comtemptor, I think you're talking about the 'St. Michael' dread. It is posted on here, but I can't dig it up.

ok..nice Dark Angles the wings make sense but I thought just the Terminators had the bleached bone lokking color for armor

The mini is great, the paintjob is great, the pose is great, i really need one of those things, they are incredible...

But the wings where necessary? To be sincere, they unbalance the piece, apear unatural, and dont add a real "nice touch" to the model. Maybe smaller wings, less oppened would feel a lot more cool... those are not supposed to be functional, right?

But all the rest is incredible... really incredible.

Looks too yellow for the deathwing...although your conversion looks good!
