They'd make fun dioramas for your Imperials. Think of the 'Fire Warrior' videogame to see where I'm going with this.

Somewhere in south-central England.

They can be used as objective markers, too.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

You can use them for the ejection system if you were somehow convinced to buy it on a suit.

I think older imperial armour books had rules for pilots that ejected. I seem to remember reading rules somewhere (Taros?) about having pilots that use deepstrike scatter rules to place when their aircraft is shot down. If the models survive and make it off the board, it saved the victory points for losing their ride.

You could, but at least in my opinion they look a little too skinny to pass as a fire warrior (they are air caste, after all).

It makes sense, Tau tech is easily replacable, but the lives of experienced pilots are less so.

Indeed the Tau fighters can eject the pilot cabin in case of emergency. You can see it in the model.
And I bought and like the Air Caste models. Put them next to a flyer and you have Tau terrain (until GW releases one).
