in Forge World i always wounded what is the point of the tau ground crew and pilots  So if anyone can tell me why people will buy these items i would like to here it

I think older imperial armour books had rules for pilots that ejected. I seem to remember reading rules somewhere (Taros?) about having pilots that use deepstrike scatter rules to place when their aircraft is shot down. If the models survive and make it off the board, it saved the victory points for losing their ride.

You could, but at least in my opinion they look a little too skinny to pass as a fire warrior (they are air caste, after all).

It makes sense, Tau tech is easily replacable, but the lives of experienced pilots are less so.

Indeed the Tau fighters can eject the pilot cabin in case of emergency. You can see it in the model.
And I bought and like the Air Caste models. Put them next to a flyer and you have Tau terrain (until GW releases one).
