Hey all, I was thinking of starting an Empire army and I wanted to get like 2 hordes of Halberdiers with Handgunners, and lots of wizards and artillery, but mainly combat I think. i was just wanting to know, what is a good idea to equip a Warrior priest with if I have 2 in 2 blocks of halberdiers? And does anyone have a similar list could they post it here?

Buy gear to keep them alive. Re-rolls to hit for all that halbards is much better than any offense the priest might get.

I am really liking armour of silvered steel and great weapon for my warrior priest

Heavy armor and Shield for 96pts and has a 4+/6++ save. Stick him in the corner of units to keep him safe. Most people will just kill the halberdiers for the extra combat res. Save the expensive armor for your general and BSB.

hmmm...so are halberdiers too spuishy to use viably or not necessarily. Alos does anyone have a similar empire list that they could post here please?

No a horde of halberds is very very good and when it is combined with lore of light it just gets disgusting

Generally hordes of halbreds for an all around hammer or stand alone unit and swordsmen in bus formation for an anvil. And yes 30 halbred attacks with rerolls at S4 will do plenty of damage to most any army.

5ppm isnt expensive. Its actually pretty standard for a human in light armor with no shield.
