Where do you usually play? I usually play at the Whiz in Westborough (headed there today in fact), but have also played at LAN in Leominster before it petered out.

In Southern NH the main places I am aware of are The Game Castle in Londonderry, Collectibles Unlimited in Concord, Elite Hobbies in Dover, and Jetpack Comics in Rochester.
The Game Castle has a solid community, regular leagues and tournaments. We play mostly on Tuesday nights and Saturdays, but people frequently arrange games on other days/evenings too. They have a website at TheGameCastle.com, and forums. There's a 1250/1500/2000pt Escalation tournament today (March 3) and a 5 round 1000pt tournament coming up later this month, too. Even if you're not ready for a tournamet yet, if your drive isn't too far you could still come out, meet everyone and check out the games and armies.
Collectibles Unlimited in Concord is a smaller shop, but has a great owner and nice people. I think their crowd is mostly casual, with a few competitive folks, and IIRC one tournament each month.
Jetpack Comics in Rochester is mostly a newer community started in the last year or two, and has a lot of beginning players. Probably a good crew to learn together with.
Elite Hobbies in Dover has some more veterans, and IME a bunch of nice people. They run regular events and have a forum too. If you're of college age +, being in a college town is always nice. If you're of drinking age, the pub right next door to the store is awesome.

Really didnt have a place still pretty new to the area. I checked out LANs but that place was awful. All other places are far enough that it would be a day trip if I went.

Collectibles Unlimited is my usual stomping grounds. It is a good place to play if you can make the trek up from Nashua. There are always a few people who play on Saturdays and a league that plays on Monday nights. I've heard rumors that they'll start hosting more small weekly/monthly tournaments this summer.
Pretty casual, though a couple old tournament players participate in the league. The amount of players has definitely picked up in the past few months.

I almost never get down to Nashua, sorry. :( I am at the Game Castle most Tuesdays, along with a pretty good crowd of players.
First I've heard of it! Those terrain photos look pretty sweet, but I don't see an events calendar/any hint about tournaments, aside from Magic. Anyone have any more info?

Oh thank you. You just saved me a trip. Empire is my sworn enemy. You couldn't pay me to play there, now.
However I'm always down for some 40k at Game Castle, Myriad, Double Midnight (though they don't have any real tables), Collectables and Livingrooms/basements!

Game Castle is thin on 40k players. Tabletop Arena in Lowell is even weaker, while they do play 40k on tuesdays they mostly cater to MtG. Hit me up anytime for a game in Nashua, Londonderry or Lowell. I probably wouldn't get up to Manchester or Dover unless there was a special event.

Now that my schedule with everything is somewhat more stabilized, I'm down for a game somewhere. I'm shooting for next Saturday or Sunday afternoon if anyone is interested; Comic Store is preferred, but will go to Game Castle too. By the by, does anyone know what kind of terrain Comic Store has? Need to know if I need to bring anything. Either post here or send me a PM with details.

At the comic store they have 2 tables in the back, one of them is like a rocky desert with hills carved into the board, and the other is just a flat green table. I dont think they have any modular pieces.
