Is the Exalted a BSB? If not, it's worth the 25 points to make him one (and the sorcerer would be the general).

I'd split the chaos hounds into 2 units, they're easier to throw away and redirect enemy units with that way.

Personally, I'd combine the 2 marauder units... 10 marauders isn't going to take on much of anything.

What lore is the caster using?

The lords and hero thing is a personal set up so thats up to you.

Marauders are not very good in small units especially at 1k.
I suggest make one big unit or dont take em. They have terrible saves so to keep em alive get a lot.
A favorite set up of mine is 50 gw mok marauders with fc comes to 300 points, it pumps out 41 attacks at str 5

Mok warriors get very few benefits from a shield other than for shooting and just the armor save in cc. However they are frenzied so they cant parry in cc so that a save that is being missed out on. I like halberds on them because they are str 5 then and get 3 attacks each from the front at a high ws.

Might want to mark the knights as well as dropping the knight champ since he is extra points for 1 extra attack not really worth it.

Hounds are not supposed to be good at much. The thing they are great at is redirecting units and helping you out deploy.
The best way to do that is to run them in units of 5 with no upgrades. 5 hounds at 30 points is pretty good for war machine hunting as well.

I agree with RT & CP on many things: combine marauders, split and strip the warhounds, de-champ and mark up the knights
You also have a problem, as your Heroes are 260 points, 10 points over the 25% cap. Luckily I have a plan ...

Here's my thought. Note that this assumes that your models already exist as is (your warriors and your marauders have shields):

Exalted Hero - sword of swift slaying, enchanted shield = 150
Chaos Sorcerer - spell familiar = 100

12 Warriors - banner of rage, full command, shields = 257
20 Marauders - MoN, full command, shields, light armor = 170
5 Warhounds = 30
5 Warhounds = 30

5 Knights - MoK, standard, musician = 260

To make the points work out for your heroes, I demarked the exalted, with the intent of putting him in the rage warriors and gaining the same advantage (so a bit cheeky of me but ) The sorcerer lost his 6+ regen but gained a second spell, which is pretty vital to having a magic phase. Basically, with just 1 spell you're looking at IFing it - and 'it' will often be the signature spell! - or getting lucky in a dice off with another mage. Warriors swapped their mark for the Banner of Always Frenzied, the marauders were combined and the hounds split and simplified. The knights got angry too and lost their champ. Hurr!

If you haven't built any models, I would probably build your marauders with great weapons or flails, and think about giving your warriors halberds instead of shields. In the long run both of those builds will be more useful than shields (though shields are good on warriors, especially tizz ones, halberds are better on khorne dudes by far).

no he is not the BSB cause.... well i am new to fantasy and i like the idea of a killy lord general guy

like the idea of splitting the hounds

Caster is Lore of Fire, just cause i like the spells and fire is AWESOME

looking at the points i totally agree on the knights, 20 extra points for one attack is a bit much
i will definatly try the halbards cause to be honest... i forgot about the frenzy thing

probably should have put it in the original that i have the models i just haven't built anything yet

i think i will defiantly try the banner idea

Looks great, and it will be good for you in the long run to start your warriors and marauders built right ...

One thing though:

Drop the light armor on these guys, a 6+ armor save is junk in a world of S4+. For the same points, you'll have 24 marauders, meaning more bodies and potentially more attaks Also you need to choose between great weapons or flails (halberds aren't an option ), and personally I'd do great weapons since S3 is just a pile of sadness. (The conversion is pretty simple for plastic marauders: build with flails, snip the flail part off at the top of the stick, add the head from a marauder axe, profit.)
