Ok so I am starting VC and I would like to ask what do you equip your Grave Guard with Sword and shields or great weapons? I personally like the sound of great weapons but I need advice from people with experience with them, and how they play out.

This should be in tactics. That being said, I already have mine equipped with great weapons and I plan on keeping them this way. The main reason is I just want the extra strength for the heavy armor. my current army has issues with 3+ or better armor.

Grave guard are nice in that the KB helps sword and board tackle heavy armor and love of vampires helps the survivability of GWs. Mine are equipped with hw/s but I often think of making a unit of GWs to help deal with monstrous things.

Unit of 21 (7 wide) with great weapons, units of 20+ 5 wide with hand weapon and shield.

That said, I prefer the great weapon ones.
