Hey I was hoping someone might be able to poke me towards a good black cloth highlighting tutorial. I have a miniature that is wearing a black shirt and I'm not doing too well as far as approaching it to paint. One suggestion I've been given is to lighten the entire shirt up to a 80% black / dark grey state and use real black for the darker parts, lighter grey for the lighter parts. But I'm wondering if theres any better way to do this while keeping the shirt 'dark dark'er

The tutorial section is not the place to ask for tutorials - please ask in the Painting and Modeling section for help - there are lots of great (and friendly) painters in that section!

Utilizing Careful Highlighting

depending on how you want it to look
for a cold black add hawk turqouise in to the black for highlights .
or for a warm black use dwarf flesh this will let you highlight up the black without it turning grey.
