Two. A nurgle/khorne chaos marine force, and an abstract tzeentch daemon army. Very fun!

This is a signature. It contains words of an important or meaningful nature.

I've got a lot of projects in the works, but by the definition you've put on it, only one. (I only have a single army, just lots of stuff I am working on for it.)

As in what I'm actively painting/building?

Three. A Carnifex (so much red to layer on), a unit of Termagants and a Heriophant. I work on various other things (painting/building my VC and other Tyranids, Infinity Haqqislam), but those 3 are my primary projects.

Very true. I only work 1 squad at a time, but unfortunately have multiple "projects" to complete. I think I would suffer a stroke if I ever ran out of modeling projects or managed to complete everything.

I try my best to only have one project at a time, but right now I'm working on finishing some Assault Marines for my Blood Anglels army and finishing a Shadowsword for the next Apoc game I'm going to be in!

I'm calling it 3. I've got a big number of Orks to paint and a few Battlewagons to model up, I still have Space Wolves to paint, and I'd like to one day go back to my Tau, repair all the damage from a lot of rough handling and flimsy, flimsy Broadside guns, and repaint them up to what I originally had in mind for 'em.

I think I'd have a heart attack from pure shock if I ever finished everything.

Um...

Pretty much every army I have is "on the go."

I consider my model collection as a pool of miniatures I can draw from to make playable lists. I like WYSIWYG for most of my stuff - though proxying to try stuff out is useful - so I always have reason to add models to my collection.

Probably more than 75% of my total models are unpainted. A lot, but nowhere near all, are primed white, grey (I bought a can of grey spraypaint when I just couldn't find black primer anywhere local, and my word does it ever cover models thoroughly and quickly compared to the white primer, and preserves detail very well and though it rubs off the rim of the base a little while I paint (I tend to hold my models by the base a little tightly, and am constantly altering the angle I hold it in my hand, resulting in much heat and rubbing, but normal tabletop handling doesn't seem to have harmed any primed models or any painted models)) or black (from when I used GW primer). The vast majority is assembled.

Some stuff I've never painted or primed - Tyranids and Chaos Space Marines most notably. The rest of my armies have some painted models.

I don't normally force myself to do something I don't enjoy at the moment, particularly when the end is a long, LONG way off - the most I find I can do is level a World of Warcraft character up to max level, which takes a few weeks of real time if I work at it constantly, and even then, if the character is too low level, it often feels like it's too far off anyways, and I stop doing it. So basically I paint models when I feel like it, and when I do, I paint the models I feel like painting. I've tried forcing myself to paint just one model every day, a small, manageable goal, but I couldn't even stick with that - and the models were both interesting to me and easy to paint, AND quick to paint - Lizardmen Saurus Warriors. I just really don't like routines, and if I do the same thing too many times, I tend to lose interest in it. It manifests in my WH40k life through constant army list changes - often very radical changes - having about 7 or 8 - don't remember exactly the number - WH40k armies to choose from, having a few of a lot of different model types painted, and taking long breaks from WH40k to play World of Warcraft - I would say not mid-game, but my games are played over the course of a couple of days, with a couple of hours one night, then a couple of hours the next night. When I played 1500 point games, the games took a full week to conclude, which was getting irritating, so I scaled them back to 750 point games.

I don't remember what I was talking about, so I'ma end this post now.

I'm the total opposite. If I don't work on mixed models from various squads quality suffers, because I get bored and start to rush things just to get them finished so I can paint something else.

I'm the same way with my Orks. I think it's just the prospect of having to paint 30 models all identically. At some point I just go "Feth it, I'm painting something else." Truth be told, it's the only reason my Big Mek is painted right now.

Empire, need to pick up about 16 more knights for completion. Then I get to painting most of it.

Of all the races of the universe the Squats have the longest memories and the shortest tempers. They are uncouth, unpredictably violent, and frequently drunk. Overall, I'm glad they're on our side!
