Hey guys,

So this thread is more to see if there is enough interest in this model before I get this molded and cast. I am defintely getting at least one printed so it is just a question of if there is enough interest to actually make this a limited run. It is still early in the sculpting process but I hope you will still enjoy.

Thank you.

That's a very nice sculpt, but I don't think it really belongs in N&R.

I'm going to move this over to the discussions board, good luck with the project.

Thanks for moving it here. I wasn't sure where to put it as I was also selling it if it did well.

Thanks for the support TheRobotLol.

Huckleberry: thanks man, the top half is not done yet, its still in blockout stage. I'll probably get that done sometime next week.

Absolutionis: sorry, I just wanted to gauge if people would purchase one at all. not sure how to word it properly.

I won't say I'd buy one without a price, but I like it.
Also that poll is near useless, you should change it.

Not a fan of this (although I love your Manticore!) but if I can offer some advise, I would find a way to make the dead body (which he should grip in a different way if the idea is that he has torn it in two; as he is holding it, the break should be in the leg) optional if you want to sell several models to people.

I don't really have a use for it, or I would buy one.

I think the body in his hand needs some work however.

I like it. I would likely buy one instead of a GW Gorger for my Ogres.

I really agree with this! I'd get two, but not with the body.

Also, you did Raging Heroes Manticore! I did not know that... I just ordered 2 of them from mikhaila this week and have previously owned one before parting with it since I was changing projects. It's an amazing sculpt!

I hope you get this made! Still needs a little work, but I like where it's going (the face might not quite be there yet, and you mentioned you're still adding detail to the torso). Not sure if the pose would change without him holding the body. But looking forward to seeing more! Would Raging Heroes be the people who would make it, or would you have it 3d printed and then cast independently?

I'm kind of disappointed this didn't stay in N&R... there are lots of companies that advertise concept models in there, and get feedback on them before actually making the molds. I guess this one is a little more tenuous, but I think it could've gone either way!

I am still loving this sculpt and hoping you finish it and go forward with it, without the little man ripped in half

Hey thanks for the support guys. What do you think of this as an option?

Honestly I was jsut going to do this as a one off for myself but I really like the idea of having options for the hands so I can field more then just one guy. Not sure if I am going to make a long chain for his shackles or not.

RiTides: So the weapons and the body are going to be options via hand swaps. I figure the shackles would be a natural place for the swap to take place without having to alter the body pose. If this cost of material is low enough I might make more hand options.

poipo32 : Right now I think it will be around $60 for one at most.

The body I was thinking is positioned the way it was because in the middle of eating, the monster had a fit and ripped him in two, kinga like this:

I think open bands would look far better than dual weapons IMO

The poll really needs changing to allow the No I wouldn't buy one. This way you could work out the percentage (or ratio) of people that would buy it then you would have an idea of the numbers that would need to be made.

Great and cool sculpt, not sure exactly what I'd use it for, but could be many things tbh.

Sounds cool!! This must be bigger than I'd realized, but that's nice, too . Very interested in it...

I could go either way on open hands or weapons, although I like the weapon on the left a lot better. Looking forward to more!

Even if you only get it printed... I'd be curious about the cost of getting one that way...

It still looks like the rip would have been in the leg unless he bit through the entire torso, though....

Weapons will look nice!

MAybe I should change the topic and the post at this point but I am shelving the gorger right now because at this point I rather finish the Slaughterman:

I hope to finish the sculpt soon and take it to the printers. If anyone is interested in purchasing this model please let me know as I want to figure out the whole casting process.

Thanks for all the critiques and comments.

Okay, I am tacking a couple more images. Sorry for the bump. I will probably post some pics of the printed model within the next week. Anyways, enjoy!

Dude, instead of ADD'ing how about treating this like a business and finish that Blood Gorgor, casting it and then putting it up for sale. If it is reasonable costed I would buy at least two if not three. I am sure I am not the only one.

As to the other model, isn't that face a bit too like Iron Man?

2014 will be the year of zero GW purchases. Kneadite instead of GS, no paints or models. 2014 will be the year I finally make the move to military models and away from miniature games.

Here's an update:

fullheadofhair: Thanks for the support. I just really want to get it right with the Blood Gorger because he is so complicated with the hands swap, well to get it looking right. By comparison the slaughterman is pretty easy and so I just wanted to make sure that the first one I can get mass produced would be the least head ache. But if this one gets enough support then I will defintely do the Blood Gorger next.

Anyways, cheers!

Quick post:

If I release this it will be both the slaughterman in his normal form and his demonic unleashed form. Enjoy.

EDIT: removed image, because I like the new version better.

Ok last one for the week:

I'm gonna try to have him printed this month. Once I have a small set of figures for this line I will talk about mass production. Not sure what the next figure will be, maybe a werewolf.
