Subject: Most overcosted and undercosted GW models on a per-point basis

Been Around the Block
|
Hey all, i was looking at Chaos Daemons today on the GW site and noticed a Kairos model is $69.50 which made me think, what GW models cost the most, and the least on a per-point basis?
It seems that GW largely bases their prices on how many points the models are, Cadians are cheap and worth fewer points, plague marines are expensive and worth a lot etc...
So on a basic, vanilla level (not taking tinto account all the upgrades a unit/model can take) what are the absolute steals and absolute gouges of the GW model range?

A squad of 10 regular guardsmen is almost $30, and even with a squad fully kitted out, you'll still easily run under a 100pts.
A fairly kitted out platoon with 3 squads and PCS requires 35 guardsmen and a commissar, and it barely runs 400pts.
It can be very rough trying to get an infantry started.
Edit, nevermind I completely misunderstood the OP.'
Actual answer, Ogryn are insanely expensive (40pts a model??!?? what are you, space marines?) Underpointed is a hard decision, but I'd probably go with a tie between vendetta and hydra, as they're both insanely good for their cost.

IG probably the most overcosted army, some of it is fairly ridiculous.
Grey Knights of course get you the biggest bang for your buck. Can quite cheaply amass a very unstoppable and near overpowered army. Draigo and some Terminators for instance.

Rhinos make up for it by being $50 $55 (just checked...) then along comes the Razorback and Immolator to even it out at $55. I'm confused by this one.

Ork Flash Gitz are so overpriced (points), they don't even have models! You have to make them.
However, Badrukk is good at what he does for the price (money) of the model.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Kroot hounds are 6 points each and cost $14 US for a pair.
Imperial Guard rough riders are 55 points for 5 and 10 points for each additional one while models cost $12.25 US each.
That's two models that cost over a dollar per point.
Also Dark Eldar Beastmasters and khymerae. $15 and $14 for 12 point models.

I was confused at the fact that the Rhino got its price raised to the Razorback and Immolator's price, while they remained the same. There's really no reason for the Rhino kit to sell here anymore.

€31 for the basic Dev pack
€8 for the Wolf bitz sprue
€7.50 if you want the shoulder pack bitz too.
€47 for a 115 point unit of which to "be competitive" you need 3? Please.
