I mean I remember absolutely hammering War of the Monsters back on PS2 and I'd be really interested if they did a second game but there hasn't been any attempt (with true destructable environments, horde mode against the army ). Is it just not an easy genre to do in a video game?

Given its been a few years heres a trailer for the old warhorse

What with the Reboot craze, they need to do a good Reboot of Rampage!

I loved War of the Monsters...
Man that really is ages ago...
I used to play that all the time with my best friend, we liked being the flying Monsters because it was easier to escape the various environment effects and also so much more fun to spear someone...

Primal Rage needs a reboot.

It was the best fighter ever.

How about giant robot games? Robot Alchemical Drive (RAD) was the best!

The Godzilla games have giant robots AND giant monsters.

They also have Giant Robot Monsters(Kiryu, MechaGodzilla).

Oh my gosh, I totally agree. The more I look at AC5, the more I want it!

One giant monster game I always played was Godzilla: Save the Earth http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godzilla:_Save_the_Earth.
My favorite character was Gigan...Laser eye, hook hands, and could teleport? Yes please!

I think a combination of giant robots and giant monsters is a perfectly acceptable compromise

Maybe when Pacific Rim comes out it will spark a renewed interest in titles like that.

Oh man, not this discussion again. I think we should play rock/paper/scissors, and best 3 out of 5 should buy the new system so we could actually game with each other
