Subject: Deathwing 1850 choice help?

Hi all
I'm pondering my Deathwing list at 1850 points and was looking for opinions on a particular choice. I have a 145 point hole which is the perfect fit for either a terminator chaplain or a librarian. Any thoughts? Based on the Dark Angel powers I was thinking of putting the librarian with my heavy flamer squad to maximise flamey goodness, while the chaplain would fit in with the assault squad and Belial to help with crumping. All opinions welcome!
Here is my list for reference, bear in mind that its done and finished and themed to within an inch of its life, so its pretty much fixed at this point, barring the current hole
Belial with sword and Storm Bolter
Dreadnought with extra armour (EA), missile launcher and assault cannon
Dreadnought with EA, missile launcher and TL autocannon
Scouts with 4x sniper rifles and a missile launcher
Improved Deathwing troops squad with 4x twin lightning claws and 1x thunder hammer, banner of extra hittyness and medic (Belial and potentially the chaplain join this squad)
standard Deathwing troops squad with assault cannon
standard Deathwing troops squadwith heavy flamer (and potentially the librarian for mindflames)
Ravenwing squad with 2x melta guns and a sarge with meltabombs (for teleport homery fun)
attached attack bike
Land speeder with multi-melta and assault cannon
Vindicator with EA

Man that's a beefy list lol. I've always been a fan of libbys they have so much mix and matchy goodness about them though I don't know what the dark angels libby's powers are necessarily I know for what they do and since you themed your army a libby would not only be great at what he's doing but for the fluff as well =)

The problem is that our Librarians are only LD 9... This can be off set by Ezekiel but many are split between him and a Terminator Chaplain. Personally I like both and it depends on how you play honestly. Also I should point out Belial tends to be fielded with either lightning claws or my favorite hammer and shield.

eeew LD 9...do their psychic powers vary from any other chapter's? I just feel like they offset SOME sort of weakness in any list I've ever seen them in

@Zerib - I know you can arm Belial with other things, but I've got a Starcraft themed army and Jim Raynor doesn't have close combat weapons
Having not really used psykers before (Guard and Tau are my other armies) how much of a problem is Ld9? 10 is obviously better, but how much better in practice? I may have to try them both out sequentially and see what suits my play style better.
@Gharron - Dark Angel librarians have a variable strength/ AP flamer power and an invulnerable save power to be used in my opponents turn.

PERSONALLY the LD 9 is ugly but in all fairness from what I've seen of your theme and how your army is running you would enjoy the libby more but I'm certainly biased but, like you said playtesting is where it's at! I think it also comes down to how much you're relying on that flame template, if it's just an assurance against hoards then meh but if it's your main hoard showstopper I'd boost that thing to the stars =D

Also hood goes off your LD+D6 vs their LD+D6 so it does make a bit of difference, as well personally I am not a fan of their powers. If your worried about horde than go with the Terminator Champlain with a combi-flamer. Really if a horde is close enough to use a flamer you probably wont be using it again anyways. Honestly if you are going to use a Librarian I would just go with Ezekiel. On the plus side it would allow you to model a High Templar.

Hmm... lots of preference for the chaplain there. I was thinking about the problem from a slightly different point of view. The chaplain is basically a 1 trick addition to the CC squad. Now the CC squad is already pretty chunky in points and in impact, so does the Chaplain actually add much? Especially as I would need to get the charge in to make full use of his abilities.
On the other hand the librarian could be attached to a number of squads to increase short ranged effectiveness and is still pretty handy in CC with a force weapon.
Any comments on that, or am I in cloud cuckoo land?

I would say neither. Get an additional Vindicator or Typhoon speeders.

The vindicator was a pain in the bum to convert, so probably won't go down that route. The Typhoon idea has merit though. There is even a handy unit type for it to count-as
However, some feedback. I took this force into action yesterday against a bikeless white scars force led by shrike (damn those fleeting THSS terminators!) and pulled a draw. I went with a Librarian this time and I'm glad I did. The CC squad was targetted by the whole enemy force pretty much and disintigrated pretty quickly, so a chaplain in there would likely have been of limited value. My librarian, however, flamed a whole bunch of assault marines to death before being a major factor in gutting my opponent's whole back line with flames and force sword. As long as he's not up against hardcore close combat troops he will do pretty well with a fancy power weapon and I5.
