just finished my storm raven for my ultra marines . i know , i know they cant have one . oohh well they have one now . ill never fork over the money for a thunder hawk so this scraths my space marine drop ship bug . i used the chapter house expansion kit . it makes the model look a lot better . enjoy the pics ...

looks great man! just one question, how'd you get that one marine kneeling down? did you sculpt that?

Great Stromraven but all blue seems to make it a bit dull IMHO. Do you consider adding gold or red trim?

@dmaz19 kneeling legs are from Space Marine Command Squad if I'm not mistaken.

Not sure if this is the case but there are some legs that are kneeling. I think they are in the dev squad. Also I really like the paintjob they look great.

As an aside, I don't have a plastic Command Squad, but the Dev box also comes with kneeling legs because I just bought one for Long Fangs. Maybe they are the same ones?

Thanks for the comments guys . To answer some questions the kneeling guys an old conversion done before kneeling marines were available . Second he has both hands on the pistol grip of his bolter for steady aim I'll post a pic of that marine soon ! The missle launcher marine is holding a frag missle ready for reload . And as for the beach board . Marines gotta make it safe for surfing . Because we all know irks don't surf !

Love that darker blue scheme for Ultras, been digging it since I first saw it in White Dwarf a while back.

By the way for your guys information . Don't use the new gw ultramarine blue . It's horrible . It's like baby blue in color a lot lighter then the older ultramarine blue . I just bought a new pot of the newer crappy blue mixed it and got ready to air brush and then the spirt of primarch roburte guilman whispered to me .... This is not the rite color ! So glad I didn't use it . Then I found my old blue and air brushed away . I don't under stand why they changed it . Ow well glad I didnt paint the whole thing and it not match up to the rest of my army .

One thing to add to the model, it is great already, but you might want to put a little mechanicus transfer on the pilot to show that he's a techmarine and not a BA

Very nice! You've inspired me to get one of these for my smurfs. One thing I would consider might be to add some of the regiment color to it, it's awfully blue...
