Especially for people with multiple armies, extremely large armies, or armies using hundreds of models. It would be nice to have custom cut battlefoam for everything, but I assume most people don't spend hundreds of dollars on storage.

So what's the best way to store everything? For the record, I have about 5000 pts of Tyranids, 3000 pts of Tau and soon-to-be about 3000 pts of Goblins (WHFB). I'm sure I'm not the only one who has this number of models. How do you safely (no broken models) and neatly (don't have to spend 5 minutes looking for a specific model) store this much?

I am curious about this too - I use a large rubbermaid 'under the bed' bin. It doesn't always work out so well.

Honestly...as ghetto as it may be... I've been getting away storing them in the big box kits for the most part. The leman russ for example snuggly fits tons of my bikers, a necron ghost barge box fits a TON of termagaunts and thats where my home storage is. than I have a lame ass game case from god knows when and where that I use to bring enough guys for that specific game.

In a display case. In the livingroom.

In my gaming room, mainly on those plastic push-together shelving units or on shelves on the walls.

My gaming room is pretty small (about 10x10 dungeon roomish, but more liek 8 x 8 with the shelves etc) , and the closet is my scenery storage.

My Waagh takes up one wall, my daemons and DE share a shelving unit (and are needing more space) and my wife's Eldar get another wall.

The Viletide: Daemons of Nurgle/Deathguard: 7400 pts
Disclples of the Dragon - Ad Mech - about 2000 pts
GSC - about 2000 Pts
Rhulic Mercs - um...many...
Circle Oroboros - 300 Pts or so
Menoth - 300+ pts

In my Battlefoam case in my wardrobe. That line would of been a funny line if I collected Ultramarines but I prefer Red Corsairs and Space Wolves.

I have two great big Sterilite footlockers that I keep my Orks and Dark Eldar in. I don't have that many Dark Eldar infantry, but I do have over a dozen vehicles, plus I went crazy making wrecked vehicle markers, objective markers, pain tokens, etc. I also have some Space Wolves, but for now I'm just going "ghetto" like Molotovsoda. Perhaps by the time I get them painted I'll spent some money on another tub. (I'm not proud of it, but I am mightily tempted to do a razorspam army.) The infantry themselves are in a bunch of fishing tackle boxes. I figure that with my limited funds, I would rather spend the bulk of my gaming budget on the actual toys rather than something fancy to store them in.

They live in a battlefoam case unless they're in a game or getting painted.

Unfortunally I still use the Mega Force, Battle Force or Army Deal boxes.

I am think about investing a fortune on Battle Foam and bags.

I am always keeping an eye on old munition boxes on eBay, I think that would be very fitting (having my fists in an old Panzerfaust case for example).

I keep mine in the paper shredder. Turn it on, shred some paper on them, they get cheap protection around them.

....what, you know somebody must have done it at some point...

I use guncases from Wal-Mart, in reality. They're about $13 each and can hold quite a decent amount. I highly recommend them.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

I use 2 kr multi cases to store the army i am using most commonly and i have a display case where i keep the rest of my army/army i am not using, i just put them on the bottom (i have much cooler stuff displayed at the top lol) set them out like a display army n just chill.

that way my stuff is always protected and ready to go when i need it dust free and i don't have to worry about stuff breaking.

Metal toolboxes with sheet magnet circles glued to the bottom of the models to keep them upright makes for awesome storage and transportation.

I don't write the rules. My ego just lives and dies by them one model at a time.

I keep mine either in my cases, in my work space ( I tore out a old kitchen and used all the draws and cabinets from that) or out on my desk were I work. I would love to get a display case but alas...money doesn't grow on trees.

Chicago. Also space. Depending on my mood.

I use what I assume is a tackle box. Or maybe just a storage box.

Hah. I got it from a friend years ago, there are two compartments, a top compartment that is split into different sections that is great for troops, and a bottom compartment that's a bit larger that's great fpr vehicles. The only downside to it is that I have to be very careful holding it- or else the vehicles in the bottom compartment WILL move around, crash into each other, crash into the walls, and generally destroy themselves in the process.

I store my infantry in a standard GW case, and my tanks in 2 tackle boxes with foam. Aside from the occasional smoke launcher coming off, it works fine. I keep planning to upgrade to Battlefoam, but when I get the spare cash, I tend to buy more models instead... which only makes the problem worse .

I use a variety depending on the army. I have pretty standard foam-filled hard plastic cases (not necessarily the GW ones) for my SM, CSM and Eldar forces. I use rifle cases for my Tyranids and Empire.

I have four display cases, one in the living room, three in the main bedroom. When we move into a three bedroom house next year from the two bed groundfloor, we'll have all four in the living room.

Gotta love ex US airforce homes, built to US sizes, not typical UK sizes. My old Conish one bed would fit into the footprint of this two bed nearly three times. Crazy.
