Hello All!

Here are pics of a Grey Knights Castellan Crowe model. It was a commission work last year.

It was modeled and painted as requested.

I hope you like it.
Thanks
D.

Thanks,

When I paint white over a black primed model I use a mix of white /astronomicon grey as the base color. This covers the dark primer very well. This allows the next layer of white to be crisper than than it would be otherwise.

Thanks for the tip. The last time I did white over a black primer I think I went black to charadon granite to astro grey and finally up to white. Transitions become more dramatic, but the end "white" result is probably similar. Regardless, yours looks great and really pops off of the silver armor.

Thanks,

The cloak is Vallejo Hull Red, GW Blood Red, Blazing orange, and fiery orange with some dark washes.

Not every shadow, but any shadow

I used GW chaos black to line the armor, and used the GW black, mud and sepia washes on the cloak. Using the darker washes in the deepest areas.
