So I'm trying to make a fancy binder filled for all my 40k needs, and I had the idea of printing out the unit pages and the reference page from the Eldar Codex. This way, I'd only have to sift through the pages for units I actually use, and I can leave the ones I don't need out of the equation. I of course own the actual Codex, I'm just looking to make a quick-reference thing to avoid lengthy game interruptions from searching through all the pages I don't even use! I would also want to print the two quick-reference sheets from the back of the rule book, with the to-hit/to-wound charts and that type of thing. If I were to do this, is it legal/tolerated? The last thing I want to do is get in trouble at GW with them thinking I stole a Codex off of the internet. Now, I would more than likely have my codex and rulebook with me whenever I head in (although it would be convenient to not have to do that), I'd just likely leave them packed up in my case. So if worst came to worst, I think I could simply show them that I did have legal copies of the books and that would probably clear things up. I don't know for sure though; anybody know what the deal is with this kind of thing?

I have done this, only after I brought ALL of my books to the store.

Then I guess they sort of got the point and allow me to use print out for most used pages.

Yes but bring the codex with you in case anyone gripes. I believe GW said you are allowed to photocopy so long as you own a physical book.

You are definately allowed to print the reference sheet, as advertised here: http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/content/article.jsp?catId=cat440134a&categoryId=1000019§ion=&aId=3400013

With other print-outs... I wouldn't.

Why not just mark the unit pages using sheets of paper? I do that with my codex, just write the name of the unit and slot it inside on that page; if I need it then I just flip right to it.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

It's ok, just have the book with you.
I've got quick reference stuff I copied out.

If you like in the morning I'll upload my ultimate-cheat-sheet I made with all the standard charts / info that you're likely to need from the rulebook.

That would be awesome Ovion, there's a lot of stuff on the reference sheet that I don't really need, so something like that would be awesome. I suppose it seems like it's okay; I also have the pages that describe the individual units and with what their upgrades do and stuff like that. I'll bring the book along as well just to be sure though! Thanks guys! But yeah Ovion, that would be very cool if you could upload that.

Ok:
Here's the one I use standard:
Spoiler:

It's a slight bias to DE (my main force) with what Combat Drugs and Power From Pain do, so here's a version without if you particularly don't want those on there:
Spoiler:

Just print on a single A4 sheet.
