Hi all,

I currently have a 500pt ork list - 2x 20 boys, a big mek, and two rockit buggies. I am looking to increase my army an was wondering what people would suggest. I know it depends what sort of army I am after but I a totally up for suggestions.

4 trukks (with rams) of boyz (nob with pk and bosspole), 2 trukks have 1 boy less so that mek and warboss can fit in.

7 stormboyz (pk nob with bosspole)
2 rokkit buggies

1000 points. I sometimes swap wargear with warboss (always with pk), mek and trukks (always with rams)

Well you already have 40 Boyz, a Big Mek (assuming with KFF) and 2 Rokkit Buggies, so I would just get more Boyz (will need them at higher points), some Kans and another Big Mek (with KFF).

You definitely have a very nice low point army that can be used as a building block for a Kan wall list (which is what I would suggest going for).

Alternatively you could also look at picking up another Big Mek (with KFF), a few more Boyz, and instead of Kans you could get some BWs with Deff Rollas.

The choice is yours but you definitely have the building blocks to go either route which is very nice.

By what you already have, I would say more blobs of ork's, and add some specialty units such as tankbusta's and burna boyz. I would keep the entire list close range though.
If you want objective holders though, a unit of ten gretchin are always good for that

One thing to keep in mind, going eith BW or Kan wall, with BW you'll only have about 4 pieces to move across the table (much easier to do) or with Kan wall you'll have to move all those boys, plus the kans, it's alot of work :(

Thanks for all the posts, I am not going to take any credit for the list so far as this forum provided me with this list lol but thanks for the tips. I think more boys either way and I guess its between BW or Kans, I have to say I like the idea of both, i think the Kan models look ace but then BW are cool too. The point about moving all the boys is a very good one plus with BW I will get to combat even quicker however I am gonna need two BW at £40 each lol but i d think 2 BW rolling towards the enemy would be kick ass!

I run a Battlewagon Rush mechanized force myself. I favor it because the mobility allows you to pick and choose your assaults, and the battlewagons hold enough boyz to deal with almost any threat and keep them alive to get to the enemy. Getting the charge is one of the most important aspects of playing orks effectively.
