i am proud to anounce that I am participating in the Lage Landen Painting competition. Why i started this kit? I loved the furioso box so much when it came out I almost started BA for that very reason. I didn't but was determent to make a furioso one day.. this day has come
He is completly done and ready for painting, except for one thing.. he still needs his wings of sanguinius.. yes, you read it right his WINGS, i am posing the dread as if he used the wings of sanguinius psychic power and is just about to smash in the middle of the enemy battle-line..
i used a lot of different parts of a lot of different kits.. if anyone wants to know where the part come from, just ask.. I did a little bit over the top, but lets say he's a really old and honoured Dreadnought.
I do not own a BA codex (yet) so don't be too hard about the weapons configuration, i just went with what's the coolest and which would offer some opportunity with the painting. (referring to bloodsplatter etc.)

anyway, there's a lot more to come and i hope it won't finish last I have another month or so to paint this baby and add the wings. Pretty sure it will work out, otherwise it could become for sale or a gift for the local GW store, to display.

I like dynamic poses, this thing is way out there, can't wait to see it painted.

have been working on the base.. (in the mean time it's already finished, the base) but i 'm gonna wait a bit to show it
just to keep the tension up and the morale high *hrum*

so started on the body.. building up the red for now.

yes it is.. some renegade force with desert camo and a lot of chipping and splatter on the helmet..

What are you using as wings? Great work so far, more pictures soon?

i use a set of griffon wings (metal bitz i found somewhere)
i hope to start posting on a more regular base..

so next up: finished the base, more gore, some leaking oil, and a black rim around the base
and the legs got some chipping and scratches (not very clear to see) als started shading the red parts with soft glazes and washes (BB)

i cant place that engine on the back there, its bearing an inquis symbol, but its not on forge world or anythin

What are you doing for the gore? It maintains a nice gloss. Oil paint?

And I attached a BA symbol from the droppod kit


for the gore: red gore paint , blood red paint, snowflock, a pipe from a servoskull, a littl sausage of greenstuf, red was and a nice gloss vaarnish really easy..

so update..
have been doing some weathering and started on the body.. and right arm. (still wating for GS for the wings)
i've tried some new damage tecniques and they did their job.. I'm not creating a winner so far but he might get into the top 20 let's hope..
i have had some fun with gloss varnishes but it isn't very clear in the pics

This freakin Blood Angel holyness is truly your top painting, and it isn't even finished yet!

so.. it has been a while.. sorry for that. I had run out of materials and yesterday i finally got to the LFGS and bought anything i might need (and some extra goodies)




i sculpted the wings on, they look promising, I m getting the reulsts i was hoping for




I also bought a forgworld powder/weathering pot for rust.. but when I came home I realised i have no idea how to use it can someone explain it?
