I'm comming along nicely for my chaos daemons army and will have 2 of 3 daemon princesses ready thanks to the inquisitor set from GW.

I'm thinking of doing a fallen angel look for my last daemon princess.

So far looking at stuff like Anima Tactics or possibly Nekima from malifax line of minis. Anyone know if the anima tactics models are the right size?

I'm happy to consider any other model line as well. Lastly, anyone find any good angel wings bits? I can find tons of daemon looking wings but a good set of angel/bird wings are kind of hard to find.

So far I'm debating between something like: Micro Art conversion bits for feathered wings:

or possibly even the wings off the pegasus knights kit though I don't know how big those get since they are flared outwards

Another interesting choice is:

(which is approx 5cm tall by 9 cm wide)

Comparing to my Fateweaver model, his wings seem to be around 8 cm tall and about 7.5cm wide with his scrawny back in the middle.

Just how big is the daemon prince with wings on anyway? (trying to model close to the origional size)

Is there a girl version of that guy or some nice female head I can swap on? (it's armor so I guess I can ignore the body proportions thing)

Privateer Press has some nice Cryx models, Stasyix Raiders I believe, they might provide a nice female/evil looking body that you can add wings too, they even have horns!

Those are actually quite nice looking. One of the better female face sculpts I think. How big are those? just infantry sized?

For wing bits, there are numerous options from GW itself:

Dark Eldar Scourge wings:

Eagle Wings:

Griffon Wings:

Pegasus Wings:

Tzeentch Wings:

Bretonnian Pegasus Wings:

Dark Sword Miniatures has some interesting winged women (WARNING: Some photos under the spoiler are NSFW.)[u]

I personally like the Thie of Hearts 2,3 and 5 although I findtheir wings too small. fortunately, they come unattached and you could easily replace them with bigger ones.

Another idea if one normal girl is too small to represent a DP is to have multiple fallen angels on one base. One for each wound, maybe? With different weapons if the DP is holding multiple weapons 9not familiar with usual DP loadout). It would be a sort-of diorama in itself.

wow nice, thanks for the ideas heartserenade! I'm probably gonna end up using the pegasus wings from the selection down below just because of the way they fold. I'm hoping that

might do well too.

could also be a back up, or

I don't think 3 mini would fit on the same 60mm base unfortunately :/ Unless they were riding on top of eachother? I'd have to some crazy metal wire to make that work but it's definately an idea

It's silly the horse + wings costs just 20 cents more than the wings lol. I just hope the metal wings won't unbalance the model too much >.<

Pinning and weighing the base down with something heavy will be your friend. And you can definitely stack them on top of another: they are flying after all. Although I admit it would be a bit fiddly and would require some modelling skills (which I don't have) to render it nicely.
