right im quite new to warhammer and my mates teaching me but I just can't beat him any ideas how.

Things like your army list, your mate's, and maybe a battle overview would be a good start.

First of all, welcome to Dakka! Please work on your spelling and grammar, as good grammar is really appreciated here.

As for your problem, we'll need specifics before we can help. There's so many different lists people can run that just saying "Tyranids" or "Chaos Daemons" is much too vague. The problem could be in your list, his list, in tactics or blind luck. Details man!

My army consists of :

25 termagaunts
14 genestealers + broodlord
3 tyranid warriors (Venom cannon ,barbed strangler , scything talons , rending claws)
1 hive tyrant (lash whip , bonesword , scything talons) + tyrant guard

My mates army :

not to sure about the numbers though.

about 10 blood letters
about 10 Pink Horrors of Tzeentch
a demon prince
a nurgle demon prince
Greater Daemon of Slaanesh

and I think thats it not sure

Illegal unit - you can't have 2 heavy weapons, and everyone has to have the same secondary weapon.

It also seems like you're about 100 points down, according to my calcs... but I could be wrong - I don't have the Daemon codex, just going off of Battlescribe.

Your list is fine, but it seems like your tactics are the problem.

Do you know how grenades and terrain works in the game? Ask which of his units have grenades, and which don't. Then plan accordingly.

Place units in terrain, so if he assaults you with grenadeless units they go last and you go first.

Place your termagaunts in front of everything, your gene stealers to one side, your warriors to another (the corner?) and your tyrant in the back, but in range to help. Then just sit and wait.

Let him drop in whatever he's dropping in. If the pink horrors show up, light them up with the gaunts, assault if necessary. Send the gene stealers after the bloodletters, just remember the rules for cover!

Your tyrant can eat his demon prince, but the nurgle one will need some focused fire. The genestealers should kill the greater demon, so your only issue is really the nurgle demon. Just hit it with everything you got.
