So, what's the next thing I should do? Maybe some type of wash over the whole model? If so, what color? Or something else?

Sponge stipple chipping on the edges / high wear areas, then gloss by airbrush, do decals / freehand markings, gloss again, then oil wash on the recesses/rivets. Clean up, then matt down before doing mud / dust with pigments or drybrushing / filter

Plenty of guides for these online. I wouldn't vary the weathering technique from this within the same army, it's hard to get the same look using the hairspray technique for example (though you could use that on dozer blades as it's suitable for heavier wear).
