Grey Knight Armor Cast Titan - WIP

Got it built, and the first coat of dry brushing. About a million steps to go. More updates to come. Feedback and suggestions welcome.

Well.... Since this is a WIP it belongs into the Painting and Modelling section, not in the showcase.

Back to topic.
I like the models on the base.

Concerning the titan itself... well.... I do not get why peope are allways getting crazy about titans. They just do not fit the 40k aesthetic in my opinion.

Were the iron balls really apart of that model? Looks pretty silly (like the ork stompa crotch cannon)

Titan Balls. Reminds me of Devastator in TF2.

They are wargear!

I added them with some wooden balls I found at the crafts store and some small chain. I just noticed the pictures are very poor. I will post more tonight after I do the next set of painting. Below is my contemptor dread. Hes showing his manliness on the field also.

These are the redneck Grey Knights? Explains all the dangly bits.

I can just hear "Sweet Home Alabama" blasting through their vox systems as they gun down heretics before they stop by Applebees for dinner.

Epic.

Space Marine Chapters don't own Titans, only the Titan Legions http://warhammer40k.wikia.com/wiki/Titan_Legions . Just saying.

This group traded a Pontoon Boats and a Jack Daniels Commemorative Belt Buckle for the Titan. It was a sweet deal they found on craigslist.

Couple new pics from our Apoc game. You can see some of the WIP paints. I really like the way the caution stripes are turning out. I m still working on the gold on the top, but the right leg is close to done. This thing is taking wayyyyy longer than I thought to paint. What do you think about the plasma blaster charging up to shoot? I like the effect, but I think its missing something.

the warhound next to yours in the last photo looks like it's about to faceplant after tripping over that pill bottle

as far as the weapon charge effect, what exactly are you going for? is the white stripe supposed to glow in place or appear to be moving from one end of the cannon to the other? either way, I think you need some sort of OSL-style glow effect to make it pop. some super-light dry bushing with a light blue and then a bit of white around the coils, maybe? if the white stripe is supposed to be moving in a certain direction, then use the glow effect to indicate that - make it longer on the side that the stripe is coming from and shorter on the side it's moving towards, like the glow is trailing the white stripe.

Titans have Brass Balls, everyone knows that

Collecting Forge World 30k????? If you prefix any Thread Subject line on 30k or Pre-heresy or Horus Heresy with [30K] we can convince LEGO and the Admin team to create a 30K mini board if we can show there is enough interest!
