Hey all,

As the title says, I am making a SM superheavy. I realize that some of you disagree with the existence of such a vehicle for various reasons... (Fluff, codex, etc...) Just saying so you don't have to point it out, like every other similar thread.

As to the model, it's about 25-50% done, depending on how much detail I end up going in to. I'll shut up now and let the pictures do the talking.

The first three are from about 6 months ago, before looking at the front and almost vomiting. After those is a sketch of what the front will eventually look like, how it looks now, and then a scale comparison with parts of my army.

What do you think? (Yes, you can go into the fluff if you want...) This will be updated fairly regularly, and for more pics and detail, visit my blog here.

Thanks for looking!

What's the problem with Super Heavy in Space Marines detachments? Isn't said that often SM profit of the help if IG and everything that come with?

Go on with this and let the rivets guide you! In case of annoying "full-of-fluff" opponents just use it as a Baneblade (or one of the variants).

I like it.

Every molecule will be useful

@Baldsmug: Thank you. I agree the gun could be bigger, but the thing is so huge it dwarfs most guns. If I could find like a thunderfire knock of or something, that would be best. So far no luck though.

@murdog: Thanks man!

@Toban: Thank you for these kind words. If I ever get it to the tabletop I will probably have to. It is quite a bit bigger than a baneblade, but probably would still work?

Update:

The front panel is basically done, minus some bits/detail. (rivets) The next step is adding detail panels to the main body, as shown by the sketch below.

What do you think, is the sketch SM enough or is it too futuristic?

Space marines have used super heavies in the past. The legions used to be full of Fellblades and Shadowswords. IIRC some chapters still have one or two laying around.

'Fenris. The fortress of the Sixth Legion Astartes, called - forgive me - the Space Wolves. The fortress is known as the Fang. Am I right?'

'Yes. Except only an idiot calls it the Fang.' - Skarssen Skarssenson - Prospero Burns
