18 months ago I picked up a number of
DkoK figures and tanks from
FW. I'm now getting round to starting on them and expanding to end up with a decent sized Krieg force.
One of my inspirations for this was an army scheme and painting method posted here:

Ishkur described using three Citadel washes for his troops, devlan mud, badab black and gryphonne sepia all over a white primer.
While I love the scheme, I'd rather not copy it directly, partly because of wanting to 'do my own thing' and partly because
IG tanks in beige/brown don't grab me as much as a more urban scheme for them.
Secret Weapon Miniatures has a larger array of washes than
GW and they seem to have good feedback in reviews on them (as well as Justin being a thoroughly nice guy in general):

My current thought is to get a grey-blue scheme for the Infantry, with something similar but not matching in a camouflage pattern for the vehicles. I'm somewhat torn on the overall colour between:
I'm mostly posting this for feedback and thoughts on
DkoK colours and schemes, am I crazy to give up the tied and tested scheme posted by Ishkur and what people think of using washes over as basecoat as the main way of painting them without x hours of blending per mini (when it comes to Infinity I'm sure it's going to end up as X hours of blending per figure, but that will be 10-20 not 50-80+tanks).
Any other advice on planning a scheme for
DkoK, schemes in general etc. more than welcome.
